South Park is an American animated sitcom created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone and developed by Brian Graden for Comedy Central. The series revolves around four boys—Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman, and Kenny McCormick—and their exploits in and around the titular Colorado town. The show became infamous for its profanity and dark, surreal humor that satirizes a wide range of topics towards a mature audience.

Parker and Stone developed the show from The Spirit of Christmas, two consecutive animated shorts. The latter became one of the first Internet viral videos, ultimately leading to South Park's production. The pilot episode was produced using cutout animation, leading to all subsequent episodes being produced with computer animation that emulated the cutout technique. South Park features a very large ensemble cast of recurring characters.

"The Simpsons Theme", also referred to as "The Simpsons Main Title Theme" in album releases, is the theme music of the animated television series The Simpsons. It plays during the opening sequence and was composed by Danny Elfman in 1989, after series creator Matt Groening approached him requesting a theme. The piece has been noted by Elfman as the most popular of his career.

Adam Richard Sandler is an American comedian, actor, screenwriter, producer, singer, and musician. Primarily a comedic leading actor in film and television, his accolades, include nominations for three Grammy Awards, five Primetime Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award. In 2023, Sandler was awarded the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.

The Greatest Generation is a weekly comedy Star Trek podcast hosted by Adam Pranica and Benjamin Harrison and distributed online by Maximum Fun. The show's tagline is "A Star Trek podcast by two guys who are a little bit embarrassed to have a Star Trek Podcast." The show started on January 25, 2016, and after 30 episodes joined the Maximum Fun network on May 9, 2016. The show, as of August 2018, is the highest-rated Star Trek podcast on iTunes.

From January 2016 to September 2017 the podcast was posted twice-weekly (on Mondays and Wednesdays), with each show reviewing an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation (where the podcast gets its name). After completing its run of The Next Generation, the show switched to once a week (Mondays) and moved on to review episodes of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine in October 2017 and then Star Trek: Voyager in February 2021.

Homestar Runner is an American Flash animated comedy web series and website created by Mike and Matt Chapman, known collectively as The Brothers Chaps. The series centers on the adventures of a large and diverse cast of characters, headed by the titular character, Homestar Runner. It uses a blend of surreal humour, self-parody, satire, and references to popular culture, in particular video games, classic television, and popular music.

William Patrick Niederst, better known as Liam Lynch, is an American filmmaker, singer, musician, songwriter, and puppeteer.

Neurotically Yours is a comicbook and webtoon created by Jonathan Ian Mathers. Both depict a goth girl named Germaine and her neurotic pet squirrel, Foamy. The webtoon series is ongoing, with publication every two weeks at Ill Will Press, YouTube, and Newgrounds.

The comic book series was created first. It focused solely on Germaine; Foamy only made random comments about the current situation.

The webtoon debuted in early 2003. It started with this same set-up, but over the years Germaine's character took a back seat as Foamy developed into an angry, "wisdom-spreading" cult leader and his rants against society became increasingly popular. Episodes are mainly located at Ill Will Press, YouTube, and Newgrounds. A new episode of Neurotically Yours is posted approximately once every two weeks. To date, there are over 400 official episodes of Neurotically Yours. There are also a number of fan-produced episodes circulated among various fan sites on the Internet.

Group X was a short-lived British artistic movement in the years after the First World War. Several of its members – among them Wyndham Lewis – had been part of the Vorticist movement before the War. The group held a single exhibition in 1920; others were planned, but never happened.

In 1920 the former members of the pre-War Vorticist movement abruptly left the London Group, of which they had been part. Six of these artists – Jessica Dismorr, Frederick Etchells, Cuthbert Hamilton, Wyndham Lewis, William Roberts and Edward Wadsworth – were joined by the sculptor Frank Dobson, Charles Ginner, the American Edward McKnight Kauffer and John Turnbull to found Group X.

Animaniacs is an American animated comedy musical television series created by Tom Ruegger for Fox Broadcasting Company's Fox Kids block in 1993, before moving to The WB in 1995, as part of its Kids' WB afternoon programming block, until the series ended on November 14, 1998. It is the second animated series produced by Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment in association with Warner Bros. Animation, after Tiny Toon Adventures. It initially ran a total of 99 episodes, along with a feature-length film, Wakko's Wish. Reruns later aired on Cartoon Network from 1997 to 2001, Nickelodeon from 2001 to 2003, Nicktoons from 2003 to 2005, and Discovery Family from 2012 to 2014.

Neil Stephen Cicierega is an American comedian, actor, filmmaker, singer, YouTuber, musician, songwriter, puppeteer, artist, and animator. He is known as the creator of a genre of Flash animation he termed "Animutation", the Harry Potter puppet parody series Potter Puppet Pals, and several music albums under the name Lemon Demon. He also released a series of mashup albums under his own name that have since gained a cult following.

Da Vinci's Notebook (or simply DVN) was a comedic a cappella singing group. Former Artists-in-Residence at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, they performed specials on Comedy Central and PBS, and spent time as the "house band" on Washington radio's WBIG-FM. They were also regular guests on the nationally syndicated Bob and Tom radio show.

In Alexandria, Virginia, during the summer of 1993, Bernie Muller-Thym, Greg "Storm" DiCostanzo, Paul Sabourin and Richard Hsu banded together to join a six-man a cappella group that was advertised in the Washington City Paper. Muller-Thym, DiCostanzo, and Sabourin met through the newspaper ad, while Hsu was a friend of DiConstanzo from the University of Maryland. The six-man group did not last and would disband soon after. Muller-Thym, DiCostanzo, Sabourin, and Hsu would then form Da Vinci's Notebook. Bass singer Jay Jones would join later in the year, singing with the group until 1994.

Thomas Andrew Lehrer is an American musician, singer-songwriter, satirist, and mathematician, who later taught mathematics and musical theater. He recorded pithy and humorous songs that became popular in the 1950s and 1960s. His songs often parodied popular musical forms, though they usually had original melodies. An exception is "The Elements", in which he set the names of the chemical elements to the tune of the "Major-General's Song" from Gilbert and Sullivan's Pirates of Penzance.

Three Dead Trolls in a Baggie were a Canadian comedy group from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Childhood friends Wes Borg and Joe Bird met actress Cathleen Rootsaert at a weekly Theatre Sports comedy jam to form the initial group. Later, Neil Grahn was recruited. This foursome was the company that made the Trolls famous.

The Trolls initially did sketch comedy, often on risqué or controversial subjects, along with humorous songs. One of their songs, "The Toronto Song" (which is often incorrectly attributed to The Arrogant Worms), makes fun of Canada's regional rivalries by insulting the city of Toronto and eventually most of the rest of the country. The Trolls have also composed musical parodies of historical events such as the War of 1812, and Canada's 1999 division of Nunavut from the previous Northwest Territories - opening "We'll keep Canada... and you can have Nunavut!" (pronouncing it "None-of-it").
