The origins of Serpentine Dominion can be traced back to 2009's Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, which Killswitch Engage, Cannibal Corpse and The Black Dahlia Murder were all part of. The project began when Dutkiewicz wrote songs for Fisher and asked him to perform vocals over them, which he agreed to. Dutkiewicz also stated that the songs were written specifically for Fisher. Shannon Lucas was tapped to record the drums for the album.
Killer Be Killed is an American heavy metal supergroup founded by Dillinger Escape Plan vocalist Greg Puciato and Soulfly frontman Max Cavalera in early 2011. The lineup also features Mastodon bassist and co-vocalist Troy Sanders and Converge drummer Ben Koller. The band had slowly been working on material before announcing its name in October 2013, along with their signing to Nuclear Blast. The group's self-titled debut record was released on May 13, 2014. On September 4, 2020, the group returned with a new single, and released their second album Reluctant Hero on November 20, 2020.

Toothgrinder is an American progressive metal band from Asbury Park, New Jersey.
Original members Wills Weller, Justin Matthews, Matt Arensdorf, Jason Goss, and Matt Mielke met during high school and informally formed the band after their graduation. They kept the band together while attending 10 different colleges.
Toothgrinder has released three EPs - Turning of the Tides in 2011, Vibration/Colour/Frequency in 2012, and Schizophrenic Jubilee in 2014.
On January 29, 2016, Toothgrinder released their first full-length album, Nocturnal Masquerade. The album has been met with widespread critical acclaim. Spencer Sotelo of Periphery provided guest vocals on the album's eighth track, "Diamonds for Gold".

In 2014, after Logan Mader had spent more than a decade away from the stage, Monte Conner of Nuclear Blast sent Australian musician Lauren Hart to him for a production deal. Once they met, Hart switched from guitars to vocals. Damien Rainaud then joined on bass with Ralph Alexander stepping in on drums. Logan chose not to recruit well known musicians, as he wanted his band to be neither a supergroup nor a side project for each of its members.
Metal Allegiance is an American heavy metal supergroup formed on Long Island, New York, in 2014 by bassist and songwriter Mark Menghi. Shortly after, he recruited bassist David Ellefson, guitarist Alex Skolnick, and drummer Mike Portnoy. Though the group does not have an official lead singer, they usually hire guest musicians to contribute vocals and/or guitar parts to their studio recordings and live shows, including Andreas Kisser of Sepultura and Mark Osegueda of Death Angel. To date, Metal Allegiance has released two studio albums and one EP.

Iwrestledabearonce (often stylized in all lowercase; abbreviated as IWABO) was an American metalcore band formed in 2007 in Shreveport, Louisiana. In their nine years together, they released one EP, four full-length albums, and two remixed releases.
Prior to Iwrestledabearonce, guitarist Steven Bradley played in the Louisiana mathcore band Statuescrybleeding, the band was active around 2004 and broke up sometime in 2006. Bradley met Krysta Cameron at which point, decided to start rehearsing music with her and some other musicians in the area when he was impressed with her growl vocals. Iwrestledabearonce was officially formed during 2007 in Shreveport, Louisiana. The origin of this band's name was inspired by a comment made by Gary Busey on Comedy Central. They released their debut EP in 2007 through Bucket of Truth Recordings, and later re-released it with new cover art through Tragic Hero Records. The release gained the band a small cult following due to their highly experimental musical style. It also granted the band enough attention to acquire drummer, Ryan Pearson. Due to the band lacking a drummer during the EP's recording, all percussion was done in a drum machine program.
Light the Torch is an American metalcore supergroup formed in Los Angeles in 2012. They are currently signed to Nuclear Blast Records and have released four albums: two under the "Devil You Know" moniker and two under the "Light the Torch" name.
