Hughie goes home to Scotland to see family and friends.Turns out he's just a whiny cunt.Ok, best thing about this one is finding out Annie's backstory. But I have to admit, the entire time she's trying to talk Hugie into taking her back, I'm just gritting teeth. It's obnoxious and he doesn't deserve her. &lt;--which I'm pretty sure is exactly how Ennis wanted me to feel by the end of this comic. I understand why a lot of people hate this one, but I still thought it had quite a bit of merit in the overall story. It makes you look at all of Hugie's faults and see him as less of a victim and more of a human with some serious personality flaws.Whiny Cunt.

Na szczęście bohaterowie mają po swojej stronie Kiełbasę Miłości...

At Butcher's insistence, Hughie stakes out the team Super-Duper, only to discover that they are a group of special needs superheroes. Malchemical is a psychotic bully, who is now assigned to Super-Duper as their 'leader'. This was his punishment for shape-shifting into another supe on his team and fucking his girlfriend in the pooper.The team already had an unofficial leader who was basically a super-caretaker, and she tries to stand up to Malchemical - but it turns out she has her own set of issues that he exploits.Of course, once things get out of hand, you know Hughie isn't going to stand by and let Malchemical hurt these kids. Oh, and Butcher (having learned Annie's true identity) is convinced Hughie is a mole. Plus, it looks like Homelander is getting ready to spring something on the world. So. Yeah, lots of good stuff in this one.Still a great comic, but this isn't for the squeamish or easily 'triggered'.

In a world where costumed heroes soar through the sky and masked vigilantes prowl the night, someone's got to make sure the "supes" don't get out of line. And someone will. Billy Butcher, Wee Hughies, Mother's Milk, The Frenchman and the Female are The Boys: a CIA-backed team of very dangerous people, each one dedicated to the struggle against the most dangerous force on Earth-superpower. Some superheroes have to be watched. Some have to be controlled. And some of them-sometimes need to be taken out of the picture. That's when you call in The Boys. This volume collects issues 15-22 of the Boys by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson.

The Boys plan to flush out more nefarious doings in the superhero world, and this time it's knock-off Charles Xavier who's on the hot seat. Hughie goes undercover as a member of...well, basically a Great Value version of New Mutant team.Of course, being Wee Hughie he finds himself wanting to help the crazy kids instead of just fuck them up. The plot is a mash-up of Animal House plus {insert random teen X-team here} and a Michael Jackson level of turning a blind eye to the obvious hero worship.While The Boys continues to be a title that I'm extremely interested in, I'm hoping the plot stays strong and it doesn't devolve into one big dick/shit/gore-fest that relies on shock value to keep the reader coming back.I've got my fingers crossed for Hughie and the gang.Still fun, still highly recommended!

Butcher's origin story.Yesssss. It was everything I wanted and more.I honestly didn't think that Ennis could write Becky in such a way that would let me think she'd had such a profound impact on Billy's personality. It's become increasingly more and more apparent that he's unhinged and probably a sociopath. So one woman wasn't going to change him.Period. But this was phenomenal. All of it. From his father to his brother and mother, and finally to Becky? Perfect.You really get who Butcher is and how things could have gone differently for him (and everyone else). If only...Great, if heartbreaking, volume.

This answers the burning question: What do heroes do during these world-ending crossover events? Pretty much what a lot of fans have suspected. There's also a bit more about Veep, and the conspiracy surrounding Vought's plans for him. And while this is still something I'm interested in, I have to say that Ennis is kind of pushing it with the gross-out stuff. There's only so many times you can see cartoons fucking and farting without it losing its edge, you know?Somehow, I'm thinking moderation isn't in the cards for this title.(view spoiler)[  (hide spoiler)]

The Boys are back and still kicking ass.Seriously. They're just beating the shit out of everyone.Just when you think you're tired of Nazi bad guys, Ennis creates a douchebag racist enough to make it fun to watch as Butcher pokes his eye out. And really, isn't that what we all want out of our comics?You've got the ongoing story that's happening between the supes, Vought, and the Boys, which was very good. And then you've also got a few of the origin stories tossed in.Granted, some of the stories they told Hughie about their beginnings may or may not be 100% steeped in reality.Frenchie's story was probably my favorite. A joust to the death with a crusty baguette? That was just...wow. &lt;--super emotional, man.But seriously? How the hell does Ennis come up with this shit? And I'm really hoping this makes its way into the tv series. Because come the fuck on - that's hilarious! Looking forward to the next volume, The Innocents.

Some of the revelations in Benjamin's diary are difficult for Caroline to read, especially as it relates to the time past this reconnection between Benjamin and Daisy, when Daisy gets older and Benjamin grows younger into his childhood years.

In the dystopian world of 2027 London, humans have been incapable of reproducing for 18 year for an unknown reason, meaning the imminent extinction of the species. Britain is the one remaining civilized society on the planet, which has resulted in people wanting to migrate there, so it has become a police state to handle the immigrants, who are placed into refugee camps. Lowly government bureaucrat Theo Faron, once an activist, is approached by the Fishes, deemed a terrorist group, led by his ex-wife Julian Taylor, whom he hasn't seen in almost 20 years, since their marriage disintegrated after their infant son Dylan's death during the 2008 flu pandemic. Although the Fishes did use terrorist means in their on-going revolution against the state in the fight for immigrant rights, Julian vows that they now garner support solely by speaking to the people, and she wants Theo to use his connections to get transit papers for a young immigrant woman named Kee who needs to get to the coast. Although initially reluctant to do it because of the difficulty, Theo is able to grant Julian this favor, however with the change that he now needs to accompany Kee on her journey. As Theo and Kee progress on that journey, Theo learns more and more about what's going on, including the reason that Kee needs to get to the coast, the fact that no one in the group knows if their end destination even exists, and that his and Kee's lives are in greater danger than he believed when they started the journey. But Theo's sole mission becomes to help Kee at any cost for the survival of the species.

Following a truck hijack in New York, five criminals are arrested and brought together for questioning. As none of them are guilty, they plan a revenge operation against the police. This is an English language film (made in America) adapted from a novel by German author Erich Maria Remarque. The film follows a group of German schoolboys, talked into enlisting at the beginning of World War 1 by their jingoistic teacher. The story is told entirely through the experiences of the young German recruits and highlights the tragedy of war through the eyes of individuals. As the boys witness death and mutilation all around them, any preconceptions about "the enemy" and the "rights and wrongs" of the conflict disappear, leaving them angry and bewildered. This is highlighted in the scene where Paul mortally wounds a French soldier and then weeps bitterly as he fights to save his life while trapped in a shell crater with the body. The film is not about heroism but about drudgery and futility and the gulf between the concept of war and the actuality.

Bloomington, Minnesota, 1967: Jewish physics lecturer Larry Gopnik is a serious and a very put-upon man. His daughter is stealing from him to save up for a nose job, his pot-head son, who gets stoned at his own bar-mitzvah, only wants him round to fix the TV aerial and his useless brother Arthur is an unwelcome house guest. The story revolves around Shôko Nishimiya, a grade school student who has impaired hearing. She transfers into a new school, where she is bullied by her classmates, especially Shôya Ishida. It gets to the point where she transfers to another school and as a result, Shôya is ostracized and bullied himself, with no friends to speak to and no plans for the future. Years later, he epicly sets himself on a path to redemption.

A love story between an 18-year-old girl named Sophie, cursed by a witch into an old woman's body, and a magician named Howl. Under the curse, Sophie sets out to seek her fortune, which takes her to Howl's strange moving castle. In the castle, Sophie meets Howl's fire demon, named Karishifâ. Seeing that she is under a curse, the demon makes a deal with Sophie--if she breaks the contract he is under with Howl, then Karushifâ will lift the curse that Sophie is under, and she will return to her 18-year-old shape.

2004 Japanese animated film by Hayao Miyazaki

Two young girls, 10-year-old Satsuki and her 4-year-old sister Mei, move into a house in the country with their father to be closer to their hospitalized mother.
