My reaction to watching the original Eva series: OH DEAR GODDESS WHYYYY??????? THIS IS SO SICK!!! *continues watching*My reaction to reading this: Awwww!!!!! So cute! As you can probably tell, the only connection between the original series and this manga are characters names and the fact that angels and giant robot-things are involved. This manga takes out all the nightmare fuel, depressing backstory stories, and mind games that made the original series so sadistically entertaining to watch and replaces it with romance drama. Still I liked this manga. Why? For the shameful reason that I got to see my favorite “fandom” pairing finally get together and it provided me with lots of good fangirl squeal moments. If you’re a fan of the original Eva series but wanted to see more snuggly interactions between the characters or just wanted to see a happy ending for our fave giant robot pilots than I think you’ll enjoy this spin-off series. The only downside to this manga was the artwork; I personally find the original character designs adorable so I don’t know why the author changed them to look more “cartoony.” Still, if you’re depressed after watching End of Eva than do yourself a favor and give this series a shot. It may provide you with a nice pick me up and make you go “Awww!” too. Side note: This manga is supposedly for “older teens” but it really has nothing inappropriate in it and I would say is safe for a younger audience. However to enjoy this you probably have to be familiar with the original series which is a different story.

This is probably one of those manga which I loved and understood but really couldn't explain to others. Because it is more than a story, it is more about reflection on our very own lives.When I see Punpun (can find a lot of similarities between him &amp; me), I realise fault in very own character, how the society and my own family influenced it, that led me to live so many miserable days and still continuing. Welcome to the Nhk (my favourite anime ever) and this manga both have similar kind of characters (manga is more deep into characters lives though) but these two stories end on polar ends, but both are brilliant in their own way. People say this manga as most depressing they have ever read, but I really didn't feel it that way.Artwork as always is work of god in any of Asano's work. Pure magic.One of the best thing read this year definitely, give it read, it is a strange, painful, introspecting yet so real.

Portner and Panda Bear (Noah Lennox) recorded the acoustic guitar and the drums live onto a Tascam 48 eight-track reel-to-reel in Portner's bedroom in Maryland during the summer of 1999. The piano songs along with overdubs were recorded in Portner's parents' living room.
Portner wanted the guitar to be "jangled to create this fluttering feeling".
