Choose a job…big television…electrical tin openers…”It is evidently a satire, an indictment of the modern society wherein choosing life means buying things, a longing for material goods that psychology studies have demonstrated bring little or nothing in terms of happiness, since we adapt to them- this is called Hedonic Adaptation.The alternative for the protagonists of this tragicomedy – which is strangely listed only as drama on IMDB – is taking drugs of any kind – at one point the hero, Renton aka the outstanding Ewan McGregor, lists the names of what seem to be more than one hundred pills that one can buy in pharmacies or the street.Renton tries to rehabilitate and give up heroin addiction, but this happens quite a few times, since he says this is the final hit, only to repeat it again and again, and his struggle may work to educate viewers on what the drug plague can bring one to.There are some hallucinating, horrible scenes that depict what happens and what addicts are able to do, even when they actually do not engage on what they must do, as in the case of the supervision of the baby that dies, in a flat full of junkies in various states of drug induced unconsciousness.Some scenes can be hard top watch, although they can also be hilarious, like the moment when a few suppository drug pills fall into the “Worst Toilet in Scotland” and Mark Renton submerges himself into the most disgusting, faeces covered latrine ever seen on the screen, which at one point looks like part of the sick imagination of a man under the influence.Spud is another member of this outré, outrageous group and he has his own adventure with excrement, as he drinks too much one night, just as his girlfriend is ready to have sex, he passes out, in the morning finds that he has defecated in the bed.He comes to breakfast, where the parents of his girlfriend take a kind view of his excesses, while the girl says he should be tied, the young man has the bed shits with him, the mother wants to take care of them, they struggle over them and suddenly, all the turds fly over the room, covering the faces of those around.Sick Boy is the third exotic character, obsessed with Sean Connery, his career, the Bond girls – he knows all the details and has a defiant opinion on the Oscar, which was not deserved for The Untouchables, but it is also the result of a “sympathy vote” according to this cinephile- well, at least he watches his idol.Sick Boy has more to say about artistic careers in general, after analyzing The Name of the Rose, the inevitable descent, he mentions other stars like Elvis, with his serious collapse as he aged.Mark Renton claims he wants to borrow a video tape with the Best 100 Goals, wherein he has inserted a sex tape of his comrade and his girlfriend and when these two return home and want to enjoy watching themselves, they find no tape and think it is at the rental store and available for all to watch.Begbie is portrayed by Robert Carlyle and is perhaps the most dangerous, extreme and violent of the group, obsessed with fighting, beating innocent people as he plays pool and someone disturbs him because he eats chips, throwing glasses from the upper floor and attacking whomever for no reason.Abandoning his vice for some time, Mark Renton discovers in a nightclub that his sexual desires – long annihilated by heroin – are revived, he meets Diane - After a run-in with the werewolf, Marty and his sister Jane hunt all over town for the man who is the werewolf.

Little Red Riding Hood for the 1990's: After her mom and step-dad are arrested, 15-year-old Vanessa Lutz decides that instead of once again being put into a foster home, she'd rather go and search for the grandmother she's never met, and live with her. "On the way to grandma's house," (actually a trailer park) Vanessa's car breaks down, and she's picked up from the side of the road by Bob Wolverton, a counselor at a school for troubled boys. Bob slowly earns Vanessa's trust, and eventually convinces her to talk about her sexual abuse at the hands of her stepfather. When Vanessa realizes that Bob is enjoying what she's saying, she realizes that he's "The I-5 Killer," from the news. She tries to get out of his truck, but the inside door handle has been removed...

"Alice": The suburban Alice is an annoying teenager that does not like the neighborhood where she lives. When her father uses a universal remote control developed by Professor Dayton, she moves to other dimensions with other families and when she returns, she's transformed into a rabbit, and is forgotten by her family. "The Radio": The security guard Jerry buys a radio developed by Professor Dayton from a street vendor. The radio talks to him and gives instructions to steal US$ 300,000.00 from a criminal, kill a couple of smalltime crook neighbors and move to another city. When Jerry decides to bring the prostitute Eva with him, he seals his fate, when he destroys the radio and has a tragic surprise. "Call Girl": Rachel's a call-girl and serial killer. When she's hired by the weird Victor, she kills him while having sex, but later, she finds the truth about the odd teenager. "The Professor's Wife": Professor Dayton invites his two best former students to introduce his fiancée Kathy in a dinner party. Charles and John believe Kathy is an android and decide to disassemble her in the best episode. "Haunted Dog": The mean, abusive and reckless Dr. Farwell is serving in a free clinic in a poor neighborhood. When he accidentally drops a hot-dog on the sidewalk, he gives the dirty sandwich to a homeless beggar and the man dies. Then he is haunted by the ghost of the beggar.

This is really three shorter movies, bound together by a fourth tale in which the other three stories are read. The first segment features an animated mummy stalking selected student victims; the second tale tells the story of a "cat from Hell" who cannot be killed and leaves a trail of victims behind it; the third story is about a man who witnesses a bizarre killing and promises never to tell what he saw, and the "in-between" bit is the story of a woman preparing to cook her newspaper boy for supper.

In San Cazador, California, the clumsy vampire hunter Edgar Frog is evicted from his trailer. But the best-seller writer Gwen Lieber offers him a job to destroy the head vampire DJ X that promotes worldwide raves to increase his army of undead. Gwen tells that her brother Peter disappeared in Ibiza two years ago in an X-Party promoted by the alpha-vampire. Now DJ X is coming to San Cazador to promote a sacrifice during a party in the blood moon on the next Friday, and Edgar discovers that the rave will take place in a slaughterhouse on an island. Gwen hires also the Hollywood participant of reality show Lars von Goetz that comes with the cameraman Claus. Edgar invites his brother Alan to join the team but he declines, and he teams up with his friend Zoe. When the group finds DJ X, Edgar discloses a secret about the head-vampire.

A strange man named Karl Rhamarevich dies shortly after discovering a way to become even more powerful in death through telekinesis. On the night of his burial in a crypt, Julie is to spend the night there as part of an initiation rite, supervised by two other girls. The crypt becomes a scene of horror as Raymar returns to life and deploys his horrifying telekinetic powers, with coffins sliding out and splintering open to release decaying bodies on Raymar's command. The bodies soon begin to menace the three girls trapped inside. Will they survive the horrific night in the crypt?

In a future, water has disappeared from the Earth, and a group of teenagers, who live at an orphanage run by the despotic rulers of the new Earth, find an orb of special power. They escape from the orphanage and try to cross the wasteland looking for a place they can live free even as the storm troopers search for them and the orb.

A scanner cop tracks a renegade scanner, who is building his power by siphoning the power of other weaker scanners. For those, who have not yet seen any of the scanner series, a scanner is a mind controller.

Trevor is a 16 year old, sometimes-violent skinhead with no regard for authority, and would rather spend his time stealing cars than sitting in the detention centre to which he is sent. His social worker, Harry Parker, tries to do his best, but Trevor is only interested when there's something that he can get out of it. The authorities within the centre try to make Trevor conform to the norms of society, but he takes no notice, and would rather speak in a torrent of four-letter words and racial abuse.

Popular animated series featuring Scooby-Doo, a Great Dane who joins four California high school students (Fred, Daphne, Velma and Shaggy) on many quests to solve strange mysteries. Each mystery is current and unusual and involves the group stopping someone from wreaking certain havoc on the world. The gang were always driving in the Mystery Machine, returning from or going to a regular teenage function, when their van develops engine trouble or breaks down for a variety of reasons. Their (unintended) destination turns out to be suffering a monster problem, and the gang volunteers to investigate the case. Eventually, enough clues are found to convince the gang that the ghost or monster was a villain. Invariably, the ghost or monster was apprehended and revealed to be an apparently blameless authority figure or otherwise innocuous local who uses the disguise to cover up a crime or scam. After proclaiming "And I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for you meddling kids!", the villain was then taken away to prison, and the gang was allowed to continue on their way to their destination.
