A few days later, it was announced that the series would premiere as a mid-season replacement in the winter-spring of 2020. The series premiered on January 7, 2020. On March 13, 2020, Universal Television suspended production on the series following the coronavirus outbreak. On May 6, 2020, CBS renewed the series for a second season.
