I recently went to Las Vegas for the first, and probably only, time in my life. I hadn't read this book in years, and previously, it hadn't even been my favorite Hunter S. Thompson work. Thompson is dearly missed by many people, and on a personal level, I miss him deeply. He spoke to a true astonishment at the complete, unrelenting fuckedupedness of America and her politics, and he did it with a bite that was deserved and unmatched. He probably could have been a very rich super-novelist of popular, uninspired filth. He probably could have been a brilliant novelist of any kind. But he chose to do what he did, and he did it better than any of his generation. Like Mark Twain, he chronicled American stupidity in the tongue of his generation, and he captured it perfectly, from the insanity of the drug experience to the depravity of American politics. For years, no work of his stood out to me as much as Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail '72 or the Gonzo letters. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, to me, wasn't his best work. Then I went to Vegas. Suddenly, all the subtle differences between this and his other work made sense, and I realized that he had captured the true tackiness of the truest tacky city on the entire planet (though Dubai with their fucking Island fantasies are likely to take over soon). Fear &amp; Loathing in Las Vegas IS Las Vegas. It's a nightmare, a joke, a blunder of comical, cosmically-fucked proportions. It's not Sin City. A competition in which girls compete for the title of "America's next top model". They must do a photoshoot every week, and the model with the worst photo gets sent home. The show is hosted by top model Tyra Banks; she and a small panel of important people in the fashion industry decide who goes home.

When high school Spanish teacher Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison) becomes the director of the school's failing Glee club, New Directions, he hopes to be able to rejuvenate it. The club competes in the choir competition circuit. It's been called "a High School Musical for adults", the series follows the club and its mixture of oddball members as they try and restore it to its former glory. It is a musical comedy in which the eager and ambitious students not only compete to win the Nationals, but also have to deal with the tough and cruel realities of their school, McKinley High. At the same time, Will is trying to rejuvenate his failing love life while preventing the school's cheer leading coach Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) from sabotaging the choir.

MTV Roadies is a youth-based popular reality television show on MTV India. The applicants are first asked to fill out a form and then attend a Group Discussion (GD). The form consists of basic questions regarding the applicant and includes some questions like "Why do you want to be a Roadie?" and "What is the greatest regret of your life?" etc. Moderators watch the performance of all the applicants in this GD and then they shortlist some people who are called on the next day for the Personal Interview round. This personal interview takes place with some of the above-mentioned VJ's. And These interviews are known to be intense and try to bring out the true nature of the participant. These interviews often have abusive language and the interviewers don't like applicants who have lied on the application form. The interviewers always stress on not lying in the application form and showing who they really are, instead of portraying a false personality in front of them.

Two centuries after Snow White (Camryn Manheim) and Cinderella (Ann-Margret) had their adventures, the Nine Kingdoms ready themselves for the coronation of Prince Wendell (Daniel Lapaine), Snow White's grandson, to the throne of the Fourth Kingdom. But an evil once-Queen (Dianne Wiest) has freed herself from prison, and turns the Prince into a golden retriever. Wendell, by means of a magic mirror, escapes into a hitherto-unknown Tenth Kingdom (modern day New York City) and meets Virginia Lewis (Kimberly Williams-Paisley) and her father Tony Lewis (John Larroquette). Pursued by trolls, cops, and a wolf in man's form (Scott Cohen), the three blunder back into the Nine Kingdoms and begin their adventures to restore Wendell to his human form and throne, and find the magic mirror that will take Tony and Virginia back home, all the while unknowing that Virginia already has a connection to the Nine Kingdoms that may prove to be deadly before we reach Happily Ever After.
