McMurphy has a criminal past and has once again gotten himself into trouble and is sentenced by the court. To escape labor duties in prison, McMurphy pleads insanity and is sent to a ward for the mentally unstable. Once here, McMurphy both endures and stands witness to the abuse and degradation of the oppressive Nurse Ratched, who gains superiority and power through the flaws of the other inmates. As such, she devises a false pretense to travel from her Minneapolis home back her her old hometown of Mercury, Minnesota to reclaim Buddy from Beth. As Mavis slyly or not so slyly does whatever she can to hang out with Buddy, even in Beth's company if need be, she also runs into another old high school colleague named Matt Freehauf. She barely remembers Matt until she is reminded that he was the "hate crime" kid i.e. he was beaten almost to death by the school jocks who believed he was gay (which he is not), which has left him among other things needing to walk with a brace. Matt ends up being Mavis' drinking buddy and confidante, Matt, in turn, who tries to be Mavis' voice of reason to get her out of her delusional state about Buddy and get a grip on reclaiming her life as a functioning adult.

After his death sometime in his 43rd year, suburbanite Lester Burnham tells of the last few weeks of his life, during which he had no idea of his imminent passing. Although initially reluctant to do it because of the difficulty, Theo is able to grant Julian this favor, however with the change that he now needs to accompany Kee on her journey. As Theo and Kee progress on that journey, Theo learns more and more about what's going on, including the reason that Kee needs to get to the coast, the fact that no one in the group knows if their end destination even exists, and that his and Kee's lives are in greater danger than he believed when they started the journey. But Theo's sole mission becomes to help Kee at any cost for the survival of the species.

"Rederiet" is one of the most successful and longest running series in Swedish television history. The story is about a shipping company which conducts passenger traffic on the Baltic sea between Stockholm in Sweden and Åbo in Finland. The story takes place both in Stockholm (mostly in the office of the company) and on board the ship m/s Freja. The company (Dahlénrederiet) has for decades been run by the Dahlén family. But there are other people who try to gain control over the company, which leads to a constant struggle for the power. We also get to follow the life on board the ship, where people fall in love and break up. There are also struggles for higher positions on the ship and some people use their position to make some extra money. And in the middle of all that, there may be troubles with the passengers or with the ship which have to be solved. There will be terrible accidents, deaths, murders, smuggling, theft, infidelity, arson, rape, drugs, insanity and many other terrible things. But there will also be a lot of love and friendship and maybe some unknown relatives will show up and some others, who we thought were gone, will appear again...

Two places are in focus in this soap. First of all the hospital clinic run by Göran Fridell, a doctor who can not take advice from others, including his wife Ingrid, who also works at the hospital. Their daughter Annika also works as a nurse at the hospital but dreams of becoming a doctor. She has a relationship with the young doctor Anders Ståhlberg but may loose him to nurse Linda Åkesson. The mysterious patient, Roger Rönn, won't say anything about his past. Anyway, silence seem to be the best since it was Annika who put him at the hospital in the first place. Down at the club, run by Hasse, you'll find young Tessan working as a bartender. Patrik Fridell is in love with her but can she trust him? Hasse has had trouble with the club but with his new partner, Mikaela Malm, these troubles will be over. At least if he can prevent her from taking control over the club, while he is busy with the love affair with the new employee, Millan. Hasse's son Jonas has a girlfriend, Magdalena, but will they ever do it? Maybe they will find a quiet place at the hospital, where they both work part-time?

We follow the families in the small community of Mälarviken, Stockholm. The sports center, Tre kronor, is the central gathering point where the young people train and many of the parents work.

Turkish and his close friend/accomplice Tommy get pulled into the world of match fixing by the notorious Brick Top. They then try to convince Mickey not only to fight for them, but to lose for them too. Whilst all this is going on, a huge diamond heist takes place, and a fistful of motley characters enter the story, including 'Cousin Avi', 'Boris The Blade', 'Franky Four Fingers' and 'Bullet Tooth Tony'. Things go from bad to worse as it all becomes about the money, the guns, and the damned dog.
