When I was younger, this was my favourite series, though looking back now, it doesn't seem as appealing anymore. There's no doubt the series had great, exciting moments and shocking plot-twists, which still make it an overall good series, but a lot of the major plot felt forced and not like it belonged into "Warriors". It also had a lot of very boring scenes that could've been written differently to make them stand out from the crowd or at least enjoyable to read.\
  (view spoiler)[ I never understood why there was a need for the three to have magic powers, as it didn't feel like it really added anything other than maybe Jayfeather's ability or the reveal of Hollyleaf not having a power. Sol as a main antagonist was a great idea, though he ended up being one of the most annoying characters in the whole series for me. The cats travelling to the tribe again surely wasn't the best part of the series, though at least offered a different setting and some character development for Crowfeather and Breezepelt.However, the conflict between the three near the end (Lionblaze's nightmares, Ashfur as a whole) was very interesting to read. I love the Warriors series.Tallstar's Revenge is one of the best books in the series, although not the best of the super edition novels. It's certainly one of the saddest books (doesn't beat Yellowfang's Secret or Crookedstar's Promise, but it's still hella sad).Ah, Tallstar. This book definitely changed my opinion of him (don't worry, in a good way!). I always thought he was just a wise and easygoing leader, but to see he was so bitter and angry when he was younger....This may surprise you but it actually made me respect him a whole lot more because I could see how much he grew, from a grief-stricken vengeful young warrior to one of the best characters in the Warriors series. Tallstar is one of my top four favorite leaders of all time (if you're curious, the other three are Crookedstar, Bluestar and Firestar). Anyways, my point is that it made me see him in a whole new light. And I really appreciate when a book is able to show me more of a character. And Jake!! JAKE!!!! No wonder Tallstar and Firestar were so close! Tallstar was friends with his dad! Wow!!! This actually ties things up quite nicely. Excellent :)Overall, the Warriors series is one of my all-time favorites. Some books in the series are better than others. Tallstar's Revenge is one of the better ones.
