Music like Royal Headache

Royal Headache is a punk, soul, garage band from Sydney, Australia. Formed in 2008, the band is comprised of Shogun (vocals), Law (guitar), Joe (bass), and Shortty (drums), all monikers. The band has released one album, the self-titled Royal Headache, receiving much praise from such sources as Pitchfork and NPR . The band is signed onto Australian recording label R.I.P. Society Records, XVIII Records in France, and What's Your Rupture? in the US, Japan, and the UK.

2008-Royal Headache

Emerging from Sydney's tight-knit garage band scene, Royal Headache played along side bands like Zond, Dead Farmers, Boomgates, and Bed Wetting Bad Boys. Previous to Headache, the four members played for many punk bands in and around Sydney, eventually coming together in 2008 to play their type of quick, dirty soul-punk.
