Biography

Matt Schofield started out in the drum and bass field simply as a DJ, already using the moniker of 'Rollz'. Time passed however, and his love of drum and bass pushed him into production and writing, practising via online remix competitions. It was later on that Formation Records label head and founder DJ SS noticed Rollz and exclusively signed him to the stalwart label in 2009, with his debut track 'Solid State', appearing on the 2009 compilation 'The Formation Family' and on the vinyl EP. Following this, Rollz' debut single 'Plugged In / Voice of the Mysterons' was released, and it enjoyed radioplay from various DJs, such as Grooverider,Zane Lowe, Huw Stephens, Fabio, Rob da Bank and MistaJam on BBC Radio 1.
