Attracted to rancher's daughter Ruth Burroghs (Jean Arthur), cowboy Bud Grant (Hal Taliaferro as Wally Wales) takes a job on an adjoining cattle ranch ,hoping to see her again. He does so when he rescues her from a runaway horse. But with a disreputable father facing a murder charge, he breaks off the budding romance. He clears his father of the false accusation and, with the family stain gone, the romance blooms anew.
