Sidney Prescott, now the author of a self-help book, returns home to Woodsboro on the last stop of her book tour. There she reconnects with Sheriff Dewey and Gale, who are now married, as well as her cousin Jill and her Aunt Kate. Meanwhile Duke stops reading to the old lady since his children are visiting him in the nursing home.

Kevin acts quickly by wiring his own house with makeshift booby traps to stop the burglars and to bring them to justice.

With much of the world's population now an undead horde, R is a young and oddly introspective zombie.
