I think this is the best of the House of M tie-in books, with the caveat that you've already read District X, as this book serves as a coda to that series. It doesn't touch the plot of House of M, where all the superheroes are trying to discover how to return the world to the status quo. Instead, it follows only the characters from District X, but in a world where the mutants are in power and District X, once a mutant haven, is now Sapien Town, a haven for non-mutants.It expounds well on the themes and plots from District X, and when the world is returned to normal (which, again, nobody in this book has any hand in, nor do they have any understanding of how the world has changed), we see some of the carnage wrought by a world where most of the mutants were depowered.If you enjoyed the District X books, I think you'll love this. If you're just reading this as a part of House Of M, you will likely be disappointed.

Kind of a weird, mixed collection, but pretty decent overall. The book starts with a Comic Book Day freebie, starring Pixie, which is a rather good Monster of the Week type thing. The "main" storyline is... Well, it's weird. There's some very strange BDSM overlays that seem forced. It's got a great kicker of an ending, though. (view spoiler)[Maddie Pryor's return. You know, I always felt bad for her. Scott calls her his "dead ex-wife", but I was pretty sure he'd never divorced her, just run off with Jean without ever telling her he was going. The first appearance and adventure of the New Mutants! I liked how each new character was introduced, the little glimpses of life before their powers presented themselves. I loved how you really felt these kids were young and inexperienced but were also determined and strong. I wasn’t too keen on reading more (on the New Mutants) but this GN has really made me want to continue reading their stories!

Because this:Huge boobs + wasp waist+ big butt + skin-tight, revealing clothes = the typical, clichéd bimbo as drawn by a man, right? Well that's what I thought when I first saw what Madame Mirage looked like. I also thought "hell no," assumed I'd hate the comic, put it away and never bothered to read it. Damn. I'm such a freaking idiot sometimes. But sometimes I also have short bouts of lucidity so I finally decided to pick this up the other day. I mean, I'd paid €15 for it so I figured I might as well read it. I'M SUCH A FREAKING IDIOT SOMETIMES. Why the hell didn't I read this sooner? Stupid, stupid, stupid, Sarah. Because you know what? This is pure awesomeness. And guess what? There is actually a reason why Madame Mirage looks the way she does. But I won't tell you about it. Because spoilers. Ha.To be honest I probably wouldn't have read this comic, had I bothered to read the blurb before buying it. It's your typical vigilante story involving super heroes, which I've never been a fan of. Yes, I admit it: super heroes bore me to death {feel free to scream in total shock and utter dismay here}. Well guess what? Madame Mirage appears to be your average vigilante story, but it's not. The premise (two sisters looking for revenge) sounds unexciting, but it's not. The good super hero vs. bad super hero turned villain part of the plot sounds boring, but it's not. This is a world where bioengineering enabled all humans to obtain super powers. It all got out of hands. The government banned the tech that made it all possible. Threw the "good" super heroes in jail. Now the evil super heroes have formed evil corporations. Enter the Temple sisters. Their objective? Killing all the bad guys, obviously. As for their motivation, well I'm afraid you'll have to read the comic to find out (view spoiler)[muhahahaha (hide spoiler)]

That some heavy shit.Oh, te czasy, kiedy komiksy miały sens i przesłanie, ten odległy rok 2010... Naziści są odrażający, sytuacja beznadziejna, ludzie umierają bez powodu innego niż żądza władzy nazistowskiego dupka, Avengersi są dzielni. Świetny komentarz polityczny, szczególnie przemowa Red Skulla o tym, że Ameryka jest dokładnie tym samym, co jego sen o Czwartej Rzeszy. Obdziera ze złudzeń, uświadamia, jak daleko skorumpowany jest system polityczny, skoro ktoś taki, jak Red Skull jest w stanie wślizgnąć się w jego ramy i w nim funkcjonować. A jego hasło mogłoby brzmieć "Make America Great Again", więc jest to komentarz jak najbardziej aktualny. Miałam ciary, jak czytałam. I do tego niezapomniany "pocałunek" Steve'a i Tony'ego, równie ikoniczny w ujęciu graficznym tego komiksu, co Spock i Kirk dotykający się przez szybę na moment przed śmiercią jednego z nich. Z drugiej strony Warbird wypowiada kwestię, która najbardziej gryzie mnie w komiksie superbohaterskim - "Naszym celem nie jest zmienienie świata tylko ocalenie go". Jak napisałam w "Nieparzystej liczbie doskonałej" - "Nie można ocalić świata nie zmieniając go". Avengers mają środki zdolne zmienić świat na lepsze, a jeśli tego nie robią, to równie okrutne i bezduszne, co pozwalanie na śmierć ludzi, kiedy można ich ocalić. Bo ludzie umierają codziennie przez podtrzymywanie status quo, nierówności, wyzysku i systemowej przemocy. Ciekawe, że wreszcie znalazłam komiks, który tak jawnie tłumaczy coś, co od dawna chodziło mi po głowie.

Before there was Game of Thrones there was...CHILDHOOD's END! No, but seriously, talk about killing off characters in a matter of a few pages. The events before this volume lead up to Stryker hitting the mansion and murdering the X-Men and their kids. Talk about a fucking sicko. Who goes after kids ages 14-16 because of who they are? Oh yeah, what am I saying, we live in a America where Nazi's reside. Anyway, politics aside, this was some off the walls shit. So in the last volume the bus filled with kids gets hit with a rocket. This volume opens up with the funeral for these kids and during the funeral we have flashbacks of the night that attack on the bus happened. To see the kids dealing with watching their friends die in front of them. It's disturbing and that's only the beginning. The plans move forward and more kids are in the cross-hairs of these sick fucks. The Good: The pacing is near perfect. Giving you JUST enough pages to breath but the intense action and doomed atmosphere never lets up. The kids who work much better in this while arguing over the deaths of their fallen team mates. Talking about growing up quick. The fights are brutal and savage and give a feeling of loss when people are hurt or killed. The twist with Laura was smart too. The Bad: The art is still uneven at times. Also these volumes are short and you feel like it ends far too soon. Which might be a good thing? Still, 4 issues is very short. Overall this is great. I really like the feeling of death always being around our heroes. Killing off main characters gives the vibes no one is safe. This makes the story more interesting. On to the next one!

There are many subsequent chase scenes as Rick and girlfriend revisit his former haunts.

The show, said to be heavily serialized and darkly psychological in the vein of True Detective,would provide insight into the criminal and the case but also the psychological effects the cases have on the FBI agents assigned to hunt down the most dangerous criminals who often delve into a kind of madness of their own, becoming totally absorbed in the crimes and forced to live inside the darkest minds imaginable for years.

1,000 Ways to Die, an anthology television series that aired on Spike/Spike TV from May 14, 2008 to July 15, 2012, showcased shocking reenactments of deaths of individuals who often met the grim reaper in unorthodox or outlandish ways. Often recreated in a fast-paced, tongue-in-cheek manner, the stories were based on actual events, but dramatic license was used liberally. Voice-over narration provided background information on each death. The continuation of the old Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Hour that had bounced around between ABC, NBC, CBC, and CBS. This series became infamous for editing the violence out of the Warner Brothers cartoons, which were later restored after protests from the public. It managed to stay on for six seasons, before being sold to ABC to become the Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show. The show basically featured the most popular Looney Tunes shorts.

Bugs Bunny and all his cartoon friends are stage performers entertaining audiences with 7 features per show, all of which are classic theatrical cartoons from the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s. Brief interaction sequences on stage between characters was often intercut between the features. All shows began with Bugs and Daffy Duck singing "This is It" and a procession of cartoon stars marching across the stage. Then, a Road Runner song would play, accompanied by clips from his cartoons. All characters appeared at some point in the series, though the ones most frequently seen were Bugs, the Road Runner, Wile E. Coyote, Yosemite Sam, Elmer Fudd, Tweety Bird, Sylvester Cat, Sylvester Junior, Hippety Hopper (the "Giant Mouse"), and Foghorn Leghorn.

Sylvester Cat is a lisping, inept, and often loud-mouthed cartoon alley cat with a penchant for chasing elusive mice and a weakness for various types of fowl, especially an innocent-looking but fiesty yellow canary named Tweety, whom Sylvester would like nothing better than to roast and eat. Each episode of this series contains three theatrical cartoons featuring Sylvester, two of them with Tweety, the other featuring Sylvester away from Tweety and often with his little son, Junior, and Hippety Hopper, a baby kangaroo he always mistakes for a giant mouse.
