Almost every time they’ve played each other the Craw County Runnin’ Rebs have beaten their rivals, the Wetumpka County Warriors, thanks in part to Coach Big, the Rebs’ long-time defensive coordinator. Following the brutal murder of Earl Tubb on the orders of Coach Boss, Big is ashamed to be in league with Boss and chosen suicide. Now it’s homecoming week and once more it’s the Rebs vs the Warriors - and, denied Big’s knowledge and experience, Coach Boss is due a reckoning… in more ways than one.Southern Bastards is a series that gets better and better! I liked the first book, was ambivalent about the second, and the third one, Homecoming, is definitely my favourite. Besides the overarching storyline of the big match, Jason Aaron and Jason Latour explore more of Craw County’s colourful characters. One issue looks at Sheriff Hardy’s life from when he was once a promising young player with a bright future to becoming stuck in Craw County in the role Coach Boss wanted him to play all along: puppet Sheriff. It’s amazing how much story Aaron can pack into a single issue as well as creating a believable person, distinct voice and tangible life all at once - such a talented writer! Another issue follows Esaw Goings, one of Coach Boss’s redneck goons who, following Big’s suicide, gets promoted to defensive coordinator and realises the job’s not so easy as he thought. A preacher looking to save Esaw follows him around during one of his usual days witnessing Esaw’s violent craziness first-hand. The best issue featured my favourite new character, Boone, a backwoods hunter and snake-handler who hates football and wants to kill Coach Boss. We see what life is like for those in the deep country and discover he’s kind of the hillbilly Punisher, a secret vigilante who metes out the Lord’s justice to rapists and murderers with his bow and arrows. I’m really looking forward to seeing more of him in future storylines! Jason Latour writes the Tad Ledbetter issue, the kid who befriended Earl Tubb and became hospitalised as a result. Chris Brunner draws, adding a fun cartoonish look to the series with his style. I loved Latour’s covers for this arc too, my favourites being the one featuring Boone (so cool) and the one with the blue Wetumpka Warriors which was wonderfully eye-catching.And, following the big match (the result of which of course I’m not going to spoil), Roberta Tubb, Earl’s daughter and a Marine, is back in Craw County after finishing her latest tour in Afghanistan - and she’s looking for the men who killed her dad. I loved her dealing with the racist white trash neighbours (she’s half black) and can’t wait to see her go up against Coach Boss and his lunatic cohorts. Go Roberta, fuck up them redneck shitbags! In ranging over Craw County’s citizens, the two Jasons have enriched the series further as well as opened up tantalising new narrative possibilities while simultaneously ramping up the tension as Coach Boss’s tenure comes under threat. Homecoming is a smashing success, capturing life in the American South in all its darkness and glory while telling a riveting story full of compelling characters. Southern Bastards is back and better than ever - this third volume is as decisive a comic book touchdown as you can get!

On it's own this book would be a three star but combined with the first volume I'm going with a four star. This volume is more builder for hopefully what is to come.Coach Boss's obsession with football is the back bone to this one. His violent history with his father is told in flashbacks and all he wants to do it prove his daddy proud.\

I did miss Earl Tubbs and his big stick in this one but these books are going to take no prisoners or looks like they are not going to leave any alive either.\

I'm not sure what's happening in this one. In fact, the only thing I'm sure of at this point, is that these one-shot Rebirth issues are waaaaay overpriced.Still.If all these are supposed to be are sneak peeks at stuff that is kinda sorta happening to these characters?Yeah. Then Batman: Rebirth does a decent job telling a story. Again, I'm not sure what this story is supposed to be...but it's a fair to middling story.Something, something, Calendar Man! Something, something, a new non-Robin sidekick? Something, something, shirtless workout montage... Something, something, Alfred picks an avocado. I can't believe I'm saying this, but the problem may not be with the comic. It may be that I just (gasp!) don't really care one way or another about Batman anymore. That's sort of a hard pill for me to swallow, so I'm going to continue with this title to see if I can shake the cobwebs off of my feeling.Maybe we should go to counseling, Bruce?

Someone recommended reading THE WATCHMEN to me because I was told it was one of the best out there. After reading the first issue, I now know why.The illustrations were a bit outdated, but I didn't really mind. I'm more curious as to what happened to the Comedian and why this person thinks someone was out there, killing these retired masked heroes. From the first page, you immediately know that this series would have a dark theme. I've only read the first issue, but I could already tell, I would not recommend this to younger readers.

When the world of the Orcs of Draenor is being destroyed by the evil fel magic that uses life-force, the powerful warlock Gul'dan creates a portal to the world of Azeroth and forms the Horde with members of the Orc clans. A little boy named Andy loves to be in his room, playing with his toys, especially his doll named "Woody". But, what do the toys do when Andy is not with them, they come to life. Woody believes that his life (as a toy) is good. However, he must worry about Andy's family moving, and what Woody does not know is about Andy's birthday party. Woody does not realize that Andy's mother gave him an action figure known as Buzz Lightyear, who does not believe that he is a toy, and quickly becomes Andy's new favorite toy. Woody, who is now consumed with jealousy, tries to get rid of Buzz. Then, both Woody and Buzz are now lost. They must find a way to get back to Andy before he moves without them, but they will have to pass through a ruthless toy killer, Sid Phillips.

2008 superhero film directed by Christopher Nolan

In the near future when people become uninterested in boxing and similar sports, a new sport is created - Robot boxing wherein robots battle each other while being controlled by someone. Charlie Kenton, a former boxer who's trying to make it in the new sport, not only doesn't do well, he is very deeply in the red. When he learns that his ex, mother of his son Max, dies, he goes to figure out what to do with him. His ex's sister wants to take him in but Charlie has first say in the matter. Charlie asks her husband for money so he can buy a new Robot in exchange for turning Max over to them. He takes Max for the summer. And Max improves his control of his robot. But when the robot is destroyed, they go to a scrap yard to get parts. Max finds an old generation robot named Atom and restores him. Max wants Atom to fight but Charlie tells him he won't last a round. However, Atom wins. And it isn't long before Atom is getting major bouts. Max gets Charlie to teach Atom how to fight, and the father and son bond strenghtens.

In the early twenty-first century, the Tyrell Corporation, during what was called the Nexus phase, developed robots, called "replicants", that were supposed to aid society, the replicants which looked and acted like humans. When the superhuman generation Nexus 6 replicants, used for dangerous off-Earth endeavors, began a mutiny on an off-Earth colony, replicants became illegal on Earth. Police units, called "blade runners", have the job of destroying - or in their parlance "retiring" - any replicant that makes its way back to or created on Earth, with anyone convicted of aiding or assisting a replicant being sentenced to death. It's now November, 2019 in Los Angeles, California. Rick Deckard, a former blade runner, is called out of retirement when four known replicants, most combat models, have made their way back to Earth, with their leader being Roy Batty. One, Leon Kowalski, tried to infiltrate his way into the Tyrell Corporation as an employee, but has since been able to escape. Beyond following Leon's trail in hopes of finding and retiring them all, Deckard believes part of what will help him is figuring out what the replicants wanted with the Tyrell Corporation in trying to infiltrate it. The answer may lie with Tyrell's fail-safe backup mechanism. Beyond tracking the four, Deckard faces a possible dilemma in encountering a fifth replicant: Rachael, who works as Tyrell's assistant. The issue is that Dr. Elden Tyrell is experimenting with her, to provide her with fake memories so as to be able to better control her. With those memories, Rachael has no idea that she is not human. The problem is not only Rachael's assistance to Deckard, but that he is beginning to develop feelings for her.

A clown fish named Marlin lives in the Great Barrier Reef and loses his son, Nemo, after he ventures into the open sea, despite his father's constant warnings about many of the ocean's dangers. Nemo is abducted by a boat and netted up and sent to a dentist's office in Sydney. While Marlin ventures off to try to retrieve Nemo, Marlin meets a fish named Dory, a blue tang suffering from short-term memory loss. The companions travel a great distance, encountering various dangerous sea creatures such as sharks, anglerfish and jellyfish, in order to rescue Nemo from the dentist's office, which is situated by Sydney Harbour. While the two are searching the ocean far and wide, Nemo and the other sea animals in the dentist's fish tank plot a way to return to the sea to live their lives free again.

Providing comedy/news in the tradition of TV Nation and SNL's Weekend Update, Comedy Central's Daily Show reports on the foibles and of the real world with a satirical edge. In addition to news stories, the Daily Show also has celebrities (and semi-celebrities) on for interviews with the host, Trevor Noah. Lampooning everything from televangelists to Charlton Heston ("I did not play a homo in Ben-Hur"), and shamelessly assigning faux-news epithets ("Newt Gingrich: Giant Toddler") Kilborn, Winstead, and the crew actually manage to report some real news from time to time.

Other fairly regular characters include Charlie's cleaning lady Berta and his rich, self-confessed stalker neighbor Rose who often sneaks in to spy on Charlie.

Jerry Seinfeld stars in this television comedy series as himself, a comedian. The premise of this sitcom is Jerry and his friends going through everyday life, discussing various quirky situations, to which we can all relate (especially if we live in New York City). The eccentric personalities of the offbeat characters who make up Jerry's social circle contribute to the fun.

Twenty-six years ago, in a third-year classroom of a middle school, there was a student named Misaki. N.H.K ni yôkoso! (Welcome to the N.H.K) revolves around the life of Tatsuhiro Satou, a 22 year old hikikomori who hasn't got a job and feels that the world around him is all a "conspiracy" controlled by the "N.H.K". He comes across a girl called Misaki Nakahara who is willing to change Satou's condition from being a socially awkward introvert into a more confident person.

Hilarity and fun ensues when Satan ends up in modern day Japan without any magic to return, and starts working part time in a fast food joint.

However, as Homura's omen suggests, there might be far more to becoming a magical girl than Madoka and Sayaka realize.
