Alina Grosu (Ukrainian: Аліна Ґросу; born in Chernivtsi, Ukraine) is a Ukrainian singer from the Romanian minority. She released her first studio album in 2000 and has released a total of four albums.
Grosu was born in Chernivtsi, Ukraine. She entered the music business after winning in a singing contest. The prize was to record a song in a studio, where she met the singer Iryna Bilyk. They released four albums. After her success in music, she moved to Kiev for practical reasons.Grosu has participated in singing contests such as Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk and Junior Eurovision Song Contest national finals.

Karolina Myroslavivna Kuiek (Ukrainian: Кароліна Мирославівна Куєк, Russian: Каролина Мирославовна Куек, also transliterated as Kuyek or Kuek; born 27 September 1978), popularly known as Ani Lorak (Ukrainian: Ані Лорак), is a Ukrainian singer, songwriter, actress, entrepreneur, and former UN Goodwill Ambassador. Having received Ukraine's most prestigious and honorary title, the People's Artist of Ukraine, Lorak has been cited as one of the most powerful and influential women in her country, as well as ranked one of the most beautiful women from Eastern Europe. Ani Lorak reported the highest income of all singers in Ukraine in 2014 Lorak became known outside of the former Soviet Union after she represented Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 with the song "Shady Lady", coming in second place behind Dima Bilan from Russia.

A big band is a type of musical ensemble that usually consists of ten or more musicians with four sections: saxophones, trumpets, trombones, and a rhythm section. Big bands originated during the early 1910s and dominated jazz in the early 1940s when swing was most popular. The term "big band" is also used to describe a genre of music. One problem with this usage is that it overlooks the variety of music played by these bands.
Big bands started as accompaniment for dancing. In contrast to the typical jazz emphasis on improvisation, big bands relied on written compositions and arrangements. They gave a greater role to bandleaders, arrangers, and sections of instruments rather than soloists.

C:Real (pronounced as "see real" or "serial") are a popular Greek pop rock band. They are characterized by their pop rock sound and live performances.The group was created in 1996 by composer, lyricist, and producer Takis Damaschis. Their first single was released a little after the creation of group and was titled "A New Religion". One year later in 1997, they released their second single titled "Visions of You" featuring Sarah Jane Morris. The single was released in 30 countries, which was considered a world success for the fairly new group. In June 1997, C:Real released their debut album titled Realtime.
In December 1999, C:Real released the 4 track CD single "With or Without You", that is today considered their first major success in Greece. It was on the IFPI singles chart for over 18 weeks. The second single "Thinking of You", a Latin-sounding track featuring Sofia Strati, was released in mid 2000 as a CD single and soon after, the group's second album Stop Killing Time was released.
