This was my first time with this author and series as I kept seeing it flitting through my GR feed from different friends that had read the series. What a diamond in the rough I have found with this author and these books as I am happy that I picked them up to read. :)Since I read the omnibus of books one through six, I am breaking it up into book sections on the review:Book One: Storm FrontHarry Dresden, wizard a/k/a private investigator just grabs a hold of you the moment you start reading the first book. There is quite a bit of funny situations that he gets himself into along with some interesting magical characters that I loved. There is quite a bit of mystery, suspense, magic, and action all mixed up together which drew me in right away. He also has a sense of humor which made me chuckle here and there throughout the book. The writing style of the author just flows along and the pace is well kept throughout the whole book. I loved it and the story just swept me away into the magical world of Harry! Five stars for the first book!Book Two: Foul MoonHarry is back! The first part of the book was a little slow, but I persevered as I knew that it would surely get better and it did, but took a bit to really get going strong. Quite a few creatures of different varieties abound in this book, but no spoilers here as you will just have to read the book to find out what kind of creatures make an appearance. More magic, mystery, and action throughout the book. Harry still kept me chuckling throughout the book and I have become more attached to this series. Five stars for the second book.Book Three: Grave PerilThe third book took off and grabbed me to the point of slamming me back in Harry's world! Different type of problems this time arise for Harry as he has to deal with ghosts and vampires, but I still loved how he is able to deal with them all as how hard is it when you are a wizard? Love the way the author just brings it all together and keeps the reader entertained throughout the book. I still love this world of magic and mystery to the point that this book is going to be five stars for keeping me entertained! Book Four: Summer KnightThe fourth book has quite a bit more contained within its pages as there are factions that abound in this book. The Red Court of Vampires, The White Council (wizards) along with some new faces and old faces come together in this book. There is quite a bit more action throughout the book and Harry just seems to be caught in the middle of it all. Poor guy! What is a wizard to do? Well he can do his damndest to get himself out of the mess that surrounds him! Still loving the magic mixed with mayhem and still loving the humor that comes and goes throughout the book. Harry just seems to be a lovable character and the more I delve into this series, the more I love these books! Five stars for this one.Book Five: Death MasksThe fifth book has little bit more characters and the factions are heating up where it seems Harry has a bullseye on his back through most of the book. Poor Harry cannot catch a break and there is no rest for him in this book. There is not much wit within this book though like the previous books as there is too much action so there is no time to be funny. I still love these books though with all the quirky characters, all the magic, all the mayhem, and the story just flows along. Loving this urban fantasy series and giving this book five stars.Book Six: Blood RitesThe sixth book gives more background on Harry along with a few more new characters. Still quite a bit of action and some interesting things going on within these pages, but no spoilers from me as you will just have to read the book. Harry gets himself involved with needing to protect a movie producer and let the craziness begin! The magic and mystery is still there along with Harry trying to get himself out of the messes he so conveniently gets himself into. I am still loving this series and I am giving this book five stars for still keeping me entertained!

Blondie, The Good (Clint Eastwood), is a professional gunslinger who is out trying to earn a few dollars. Angel Eyes, The Bad (Lee Van Cleef), is a hitman who always commits to a task and sees it through--as long as he's paid to do so. And Tuco, The Ugly (Eli Wallach), is a wanted outlaw trying to take care of his own hide. Tuco and Blondie share a partnership making money off of Tuco's bounty, but when Blondie unties the partnership, Tuco tries to hunt down Blondie. When Blondie and Tuco come across a horse carriage loaded with dead bodies, they soon learn from the only survivor, Bill Carson (Antonio Casale), that he and a few other men have buried a stash of gold in a cemetery. Unfortunately, Carson dies and Tuco only finds out the name of the cemetery, while Blondie finds out the name on the grave. Now the two must keep each other alive in order to find the gold. Angel Eyes (who had been looking for Bill Carson) discovers that Tuco and Blondie met with Carson and knows they know where the gold is; now he needs them to lead him to it. Now The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly must all battle it out to get their hands on $200,000.00 worth of gold.

Joe is classified as a "looper", a job in which his employers use time travel to send men from the future to be killed into the past, where Joe can properly dispose of their bodies. However, to tie up loose ends and erase the evidence of his ever being a looper, Joe knows that one day his future self will be sent back for him to kill. Basically, they're fighters and killers, living from war to war throughout U.S. history. In modern times, a U.S. Colonel, Stryker, recruits them and other mutants as commandos. Logan quits and becomes a logger, falling in love with a local teacher. When Logan refuses to rejoin Stryker's crew, the Colonel sends the murderous Victor. Logan now wants revenge.

Autobots Bumblebee, Ratchet, Ironhide, Mirage (aka Dino), Wheeljack (aka Que) and Sideswipe led by Optimus Prime, are back in action taking on the evil Decepticons, who are eager to avenge their recent defeat. The Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the United States and Russia to reach a hidden Cybertronian spacecraft on the moon and learn its secrets, and once again Sam Witwicky has to go to the aid of his robot friends. The new villain Shockwave is on the scene while the Autobots and Decepticons continue to battle it out on Earth.

In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-MEN.

In 2003, in the Longview State Correctional Facility, the criminal Marcus Wright is on death row, and is convinced by the cancerous Dr. Serena Kogan to donate his body to her research and he accepts. In 2018, after an unsuccessful attack to a Skynet facility, only John Connor survives, but he discovers that Skynet is developing the powerful new model T-800. Out of the blue, Marcus appears naked and with amnesia in the location. Marcus befriends the teenager Kyle Reese and the girl Star who help him to survive the lethal machines and they travel together in a Jeep. Meanwhile the resistance discovers a signal that might turn-off the machines and John offers to test it. When Kyle is captured by a machine and brought to the Skynet headquarters, Marcus decides to help the youngster and heads to Skynet; on the way, he saves Blair Williams who suggests to him that he should meet John Connor first. But Marcus steps on a mine and is submitted to surgery, when a secret about his origins is disclosed.

Dr. Helen Benson is summoned to a military facility with several other scientists when an alien spacecraft of sorts arrives in New York City. When a "cure" is created, which apparently can turn any mutant into a "normal" human being, there is outrage amongst the mutant community. While some mutants do like the idea of a "cure", including Rogue, many mutants find that there shouldn't be a "cure". Magneto, who still believes a war is coming, recruits a large team of mutants to take down Warren Worthington II and his "cure". Might seem easy for the X-Men to stop, but Magneto has a big advantage, which Wolverine doesn't have. Jean Grey has returned, and joined with Magneto. The Dark Phoenix has woken within her, which has the ability to destroy anything in her way, even if that "anything" is an X-Man.

Harold Lee and Kumar Patel are two stoners who end up getting the munchies. What they crave the most after seeing a TV advertisement, is a trip to White Castle. So from here, follows a journey for the burgers they require. On their way they will encounter many obstacles including a raccoon, a racist officer, and a horny Neil Patrick Harris.

In Las Vegas, regenerated ex-con Jack Bruno works as a taxi driver. During a UFO Convention at Planet Hollywood, the skeptical Jack picks up Dr. Alex Friedman, who will present a scientific lecture at the event. Jack Bruno, Sara and Seth are chased by Henry Burke's team and by "Syphon", a killer from outer space sent to kill them by their planet's military that wants to invade Earth. Sara and Seth explain that they traveled to Earth to collect scientific data of an experiment and save Earth from invasion, but they need to return immediately to their planet. Jack teams up with Dr. Alex to retrieve their spacecraft in a secret base in Witch Mountain.

Maxwell Smart is a bumbling secret agent, assigned by his "Chief" to foil KAOS' latest plans for taking over the world. Invariably, Smart's bumbling detective style lands him in hot water. Lucky for him, his faithful assistant "99" is there to bail him out.

The Addams Family is not your typical family: it takes delight in most of the things of which normal people would be terrified. Gomez Addams is an extremely wealthy man and is able to indulge his wife Morticia's every desire, whether it's cultivation of poisonous plants or a candlelit dinner in a graveyard. People visiting the Addams Family just don't seem to appreciate the 7-foot-tall butler named Lurch or the helping hand (which is just a disembodied hand named Thing).
