Girl vs. Monster is a 2011 American fantasy teen comedy Disney Channel Original Movie that premiered on October 12, 2011. The film stars Olivia Holt as Skylar, a teenage girl who discovers on the eve of Halloween that she is a fifth-generation monster hunter and that her parents are active monster hunters. The film was directed by Stuart Gillard and produced by Tracey Jeffrey.The movie begins on the day before Halloween with Skylar, a fearless 15-year-old teenager with a powerful singing voice, prepares for the ultimate Halloween Bash with her best friends, Henry and Sadie. The plan is for Skylar to sing at the party, with rock band member Ryan Dean. Skylar is crushed when the next afternoon, her parents make her stay home and even activate an alarm system to keep her in. She attempts to sneak out of the house by cutting the power so the alarm system won't work. That unfortunately unleashes a monster named Deimata (that was contained in her parents' monster containment unit) who is determined to feed on the fear of Skylar and her family forever. As Skylar’s world is turned upside down, she learns that her parents have been keeping a big secret – that she comes from a long line of monster hunters. She is the 5th generation. Now, it’s up to Skylar and her friends to channel their inner strength and conquer more than just this monster. Every person has their own personal monster, which feeds on their fear.

Marieve Herington (born February 22, 1988) is a Canadian actress and singer who has appeared in recurring roles on How I Met Your Mother, Good Luck Charlie and Ever After High. She provides the voice of Tilly Green on the Disney Channel show Big City Greens as well as voicing animated lead characters in Delilah & Julius and Pearlie. In addition to that, she voiced Celestia Ludenburg in the popular anime video game Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc. At the age of 12, she began singing in major public performances. Since the age of 16, she has been fronting her own jazz ensembles. Currently, she performs with the Marieve Herington Band.Herington is a native of Oakville, Ontario, Canada, where she attended St. Mildred's-Lightbourn School. She studied drama at the University of Toronto.

2007 American live-action/animated musical film

Addams Family Reunion is a 1998 American comedy horror film based on the characters from the cartoon created by cartoonist Charles Addams. Directed by Dave Payne, the film was intended to serve as a pilot for a new proposed television series produced by Saban. The film stars Daryl Hannah and Tim Curry as Morticia and Gomez Addams respectively while Carel Struycken and Christopher Hart's hand are the only ones to reprise their roles from the last two films. The film's plot focused on the eccentric, macabre aristocratic Addams family mistakenly arriving at the wrong family reunion and encountering a man (Ed Begley Jr.) who seeks to commit murder in order to inherit a fortune.Payne had intended to give the film a dark, edgy tone, but Saban had interfered with the development, insisting that the story be aimed solely at entertaining children, and lack much of the black comedy and satire of the previous films. Saban also wanted Payne to imitate aspects of Paramount Pictures' popular 1991–93 duo of films, and the 1964 TV series, and rejected any original idea developed by Payne and the film's screenwriters. As a result, the film was poorly received by critics, who criticized the film's screenplay, special effects, production design, and much of its acting, while singling out Tim Curry's performance for praise, calling Curry the best part of the film.
