How can Yato and Hiyroi be together..? I don't see a way that could work :(

Yesterday while browsing one of the many anime/manga newssites I frequent, I saw the news that this manga would be getting an anime adaptation soon. Of course I was curious, the art looked really cute, and the story sounded really fun. So today I decided to check it out.So what did I think of this manga? It was pretty fun, though I had expected more comedy and more action, and also more magic. For now I think the best is to call this a very easygoing slice of life about a young witch girl moving in to live with her relatives and her being amazed at a lot of things. (She is from another part of the country, so a lot of stuff is new.) And also about her learning to be a witch. So, just a warning to all, if you expect a manga about a girl doing all kinds of magical stuff and has adventures, then turn away and find another one. This isn't the one for you then.It took me a while to settle into the story and get used to the girl. She is quite the ditz, getting lost everywhere, doing random stuff that startles people, but she is also a kind girl who is happy and who tries her best to become a witch. Throughout the manga we get several "lessons", for instance in the first one she needs a new broom, but we also have chapters about her familiar (a cute cat named Shade), or about her going to make her own veggie garden (and the hilarious stuff that happen there). It is a really relaxing and calm manga, great for people who just need to get away from everything.The art is pretty decent, while the characters are a bit plain, the backgrounds really make up for it. The art also reminds me a bit of Azumanga Daioh/Yotsuba and Minami-ke, not the same authors, but it does look quite a bit alike. Which isn't bad, I love Azumanga/Yotsuba and Minami-ke's style. :)Would I recommend this volume? Yes, I would. 1960’s comics have a certain style that is either fun or ridiculous, depending on your point of view. Villains engage in a lot of expositional speeches, nobody is ever seriously hurt in all of these superhuman battles (somehow), and the dialogue is awfully campy. That said, if you are a fan of the Stan Lee style there is a whole lot to enjoy here. This collection contains Amazing Fantasy #15 (Spider-Man’s first appearance, telling the familiar origin story) and the first 10 issues of The Amazing Spider-Man. Along with The Fantastic Four, The Amazing Spider-Man was probably Marvel’s best series in the early ‘60s. The goofier style of ‘60s comics fits well with the wisecracking webcrawler, and subplots involving Peter Parker’s high school problems, Aunt May, or his love interests provide some variety. Mercifully, these issues avoid Marvel’s early obsession with ludicrous alien invaders and communist plots (at least for the most part). Instead, this collection includes the first appearances of Electro, The Lizard, The Sandman, and Doctor Octopus:Personally, I think these Stan Lee stories are fun and I have been slowly making my way through the Masterworks series. This is the best one I’ve read so far, and if someone were to buy/read just one Marvel Masterwork collection I’d recommend this one. You get to see the story from the very beginning, watch the development of some famous Marvel villains, and (most importantly) the quality of the storytelling is simply better than almost anything else Marvel was doing from 1961-1965. 4 stars, recommended.

When the Angels start attacking the planet Earth in the year 2015, only a handful of 14-year-old EVA pilots are able to stop them. Young Shinji Ikari suddenly finds himself forced to pilot EVA-01, a giant organic mecha, designed and constructed by NERV, that is the only thing that can stop the Angels.

In the year 1711, a group of alchemists are granted an elixir of immortality, with the stipulation that they must kill each other until there can be only one. The now-immortal group unanimously decides it wasn't worth it and destroy the elixir; but one of them, Slizard Quates, starts to kill off his fellow immortals. To reduce the risk of Quates tracking them all down, the group separates and goes their separate ways. Neither of them crosses paths again till 1930, Manhattan, when Quates manages to create a new elixir of immortality. However, he loses it and it ends up going around town, taken to be a bottle of alcohol and unknowingly drunk by many residents. The drinkers of this new elixir include Isaac and Miria, an eccentric pair of thieves; the Gandor brothers, a Mafia family; and their associates in the Camorra, the Martillos (who employ some of the original immortals). Now, not only are a new group of immortals created, but the simmering criminal underworld is about to explode.
