Honestly, I can see why people may not like this volume. It isn't amazing chronologically as Konata has got into a university halfway through but then towards the end she was thinking about applying to one? And I found it difficult to figure out who was talking when because some dialogue didn't make sense when spoken by any character in a panel, or there was no indication to which character was speaking, or if there was, they were both on the same side of the panel so I couldn't tell. Overall, it was an okay volume. Not amazing, not awful.

Patty!!!! One of my favourite characters gets more of a spotlight in this one as she starts living with Konata and family! I just adore this character and how dedicated she is to her manga/anime. Again like previous times, it would have been better had the manga parts been done with time kept in mind. Now the girls were graduated, in college, and then back in high school, back to entrance exams, back to college again, and so on. It was all very much confusing.I am also not that much liking those parts of the manga girl, it just get boring as it is the same thing over and over again. :( One more volume to go!

Kagami Yoshimizu (美水かがみ Yoshimizu Kagami) is a Japanese manga author from Satte, Saitama, Japan. He is perhaps best known as the creator of a four-panel comic strip Lucky ☆ Star which has been serialized in Kadokawa Shoten's Comptiq magazine since January 2004. He is also credited for creating Comptiq's mascot character Comp-chan (コンプちゃん Konpu-chan?).

Long ago, in 1985, personal computers came in two general categories: the friendly, childish game machine used for fun (exemplified by Atari and Commodore products); and the boring, beige adult box used for business (exemplified by products from IBM). The IBM products were all utility, with little emphasis on aesthetics and no emphasis on fun. Into this bifurcated computing environment came the Commodore Amiga 1000. This personal computer featured a palette of 4,096 colors, unprecedented animation capabilities, four-channel stereo sound, the capacity to run multiple applications simultaneously, a graphical user interface, and powerful processing potential. It was, Jimmy Maher writes in The Future Was Here, the world’s first true multimedia personal computer.Maher argues that the Amiga’s capacity to store and display color photographs, manipulate video (giving amateurs access to professional tools), and use recordings of real-world sound were the seeds of the digital media future: digital cameras, Photoshop, MP3 players, and even YouTube, Flickr, and the blogosphere. He examines different facets of the platform--from Deluxe Paint to AmigaOS to Cinemaware--in each chapter, creating a portrait of the platform and the communities of practice that surrounded it. Actually, that estimate might be kinda low. There are no words to describe how much I adore Cyanide &amp; Happiness. I’ve followed it via the interwebs since forever, so when I came across this little gem at my local Half Price Books there was no way I was going home without it. If the heavens had really been looking out for me on my shopping trip I would have been provided with a half price “comic-a-day” kind of calendar rather than a book, but no such luck : (My enjoyment wasn’t lessened by much, however, and if I were more than a half-ass kind of reviewer I would have posted this yesterday in order to celebrate the birth of one of the creators – Rob DenBleyker . . . \

Three separate but parallel stories of the U.S mortgage housing crisis of 2005 are told. Michael Burry, an eccentric ex-physician turned one-eyed Scion Capital hedge fund manager, has traded traditional office attire for shorts, bare feet and a Supercuts haircut. He believes that the US housing market is built on a bubble that will burst within the next few years. Autonomy within the company allows Burry to do largely as he pleases, so Burry proceeds to bet against the housing market with the banks, who are more than happy to accept his proposal for something that has never happened in American history. The banks believe that Burry is a crackpot and therefore are confident in that they will win the deal. Jared Vennett with Deutschebank gets wind of what Burry is doing and, as an investor believes he too can cash in on Burry's beliefs. An errant telephone call to FrontPoint Partners gets this information into the hands of Mark Baum, an idealist who is fed up with the corruption in the financial industry. Baum and his associates, who work at an arms length under Morgan Stanley, decide to join forces with Vennett despite not totally trusting him. In addition to Burry's information, they further believe that most of the mortgages are overrated by the bond agencies, with the banks collating all the sub-prime mortgages under AAA packages. Charlie Geller and Jamie Shipley, who are minor players in a $30 million start-up garage company called Brownfield, get a hold of Vennett's prospectus on the matter. Wanting in on the action but not having the official clout to play, they decide to call an old "friend", retired investment banker Ben Rickert, to help out. All three of these groups work on the premise that the banks are stupid and don't know what's going on, while for them to win, the general economy has to lose, which means the suffering of the general investor who trusts the financial institutions. That latter aspect may not sit well with Baum. Some of these assumptions may be incorrect and may be far more manipulative than they could have ever imagined, which in turn may throw curves into the process.

The popular kids show "Together With Mom" has kids be attended to by happy, optimistic hosts with a ready smile and kind word for them. However, these hosts are still people with their own issues and struggles. Uramichi Omota is 31 years old, lives a lonely life with no wife or kids, has to deal with production hassles from unknowing or uncaring staff, and still has to give a good smile to the children every day.

The other employees of the 99th precinct include Detective Amy Santiago, Jake's over achieving and competitive partner; Detective Rosa Diaz, a tough and kept to herself coworker; Detective Charles Boyle, Jake's best friend who also has crush on Rosa; Detective Sergeant Terry Jeffords, who was recently taken off the field after the birth of his twin girls; and Gina Linetti, the precinct's sarcastic administrator.

Nadeshiko, a high school student who had moved from Shizuoka to Yamanashi, decides to see the famous, 1000 yen-bill-featured Mount Fuji. Even though she manages to bike all the way to Motosu, she's forced to turn back because of worsening weather. Unable to set her eyes on her goal, she faints partway to her destination. When she wakes up, it's night, in a place she's never been before, with no way of knowing how to get home. Nadeshiko is saved when she encounters Rin, a girl who is out camping by herself. This outdoorsy girls story begins with this first encounter between Nadeshiko and Rin.

Koguma, a high school girl in Yamanashi, leads a quiet but empty life: she has no parents, friends, or hobbies. One day, Koguma gets a used Honda Super Cub motorcycle, and experiences motorcycle riding for the first time. Running out of gas and hitting detours become a small source of adventure in Koguma's life. She is satisfied with this strange transformation, then her classmate Reiko starts to talk to her, as she also goes to school by motorcycle. One Super Cub begins to open up a lonely girl's world, introducing her to a new everyday life and friendship.
