A businessman facially scarred in a laboratory explosion receives treatment from a psychiatrist, and obtains an amazingly life-like mask from the doctor. Soon after being fitted for the mask, he attempts to seduce his wife and succeeds. But his wife claims she was aware all along who he was and believed that both were just masquerading together as men and women do in different ways. Strangely enough, his personality seemingly begins to change after he puts on the mask as if the mask has influenced his personality. His new identity does not enable him to reintegrate into society after all. A subplot is inserted in fragments. A good-natured young woman, the right side of whose face is disfigured, has been hurt by others' inquisitive eyes and insults, and has been shunned by men. She asks her older brother, the only man who understands her pain and solitude, to make love to her, hiding from him the intent of killing herself afterwards.

Heavenly Forest is About a Photographer name Makoto who travels to New York during Christmas to look for his best friend, Shizuru. The two first met when Makoto attended his University Entrance Ceremony. Due to his Inferiority Complex, Makoto tends to shy away other people but Shizuru managed to Make him open up to her. Because of their friendship, Shizuru also ended up taking interest in photography and the two often went to the forest to take pictures. Shizuru wants nothing else but to be by Makoto's side so when he started liking another girl called Miyuki , Shizuru decided that she too will like Miyuki and becomes her friend . One day , Makoto asked Shizuru what present she'd like to receive for her Birthday. Shizuru , who want to enter a photography competition, had an idea to take a picture of the two of them kissing in a forest. Makoto agreed to do this and the two kissed for the very first time. Ever since that day, however, Shizuru ups and disappears from Makoto's life.

Kidzhima Yasube, the Samurai of the period Edo, is postponed to 180 years ahead to Japan of our days. There he meets the divorced woman Hiroko and her son Tomoyey. She invites Yasube to herself to live, and for food and a lodging for the night asks it to help about the house. The former Samurai begins to cook cakes for Toma and thanks to them becomes the famous confectioner. The relations between this Trinity become more and more warm, but day when they have to say goodbye with each other, already not far off .

Asuka Sakura wakes up in the mental asylums quiet room, with no recollection of how she got there.

Centred around a love hotel in the Kabukicho district of Tokyo, Japan, the lives, dreams and times of a myriad of characters who are guests comes to the fore. There is the sex and the lust, there is the libido and the cheating and then there is the backstories and circumstances of the young and old who book a room or who work at the hotel.

The cynical and skeptical writer Mike Enslin writes books evaluating supernatural phenomena in hotels, graveyards and other haunted places, usually debunking the mystery. With the help of a family friend, Edward receives metal limbs - "automail" - to replace his lost ones. With that, Edward vows to search for the Philosopher's Stone to return the brothers to their original bodies, even if it means becoming a "State Alchemist", one who uses his/her alchemy for the military.

An absolute beauty to anyone, Shouko Komi in reality suffers from extreme social anxiety and communication problems, making her largely unable to talk to others. However, her attractiveness and stoic appearance, which in itself results from her anxiety, is perceived as refined class, making her highly popular while preventing people from actually getting to know her. He comes across a girl called Misaki Nakahara who is willing to change Satou's condition from being a socially awkward introvert into a more confident person.

Suzy Bannion travels to Germany to perfect her ballet skills. She arrives at the Tanz dance academy in the pouring rain and is refused admission after another woman is seen fleeing the school. She returns the next morning and this time is let in. She learns that the young woman she saw fleeing the previous evening, Pat Hingle, has been found dead. Strange things soon begin to occur. Suzy becomes ill and is put on a special diet; the school becomes infested with maggots; odd sounds abound; and Daniel, the pianist, is killed by his own dog. A bit of research indicates that the ballet school was once a witches' coven - and as Suzy learns, still is.

a young girl is the sole protector of a very precious, large egg. her lair is near a large, abandoned, decaying gothic city inhabited by restless shadows. a mysterious young man arrives one day, and eventually wins her trust. they converse sparsely about obscure philosophical and theological topics, and she shows him some astonishing fossils and works of historic and scientific art. the ending is a bit shocking, and very ambiguous, leaving many unanswered questions and tons of room for interpretation.

After a young girl's mother dies, she is cared for by Glico, a brassy hooker, who gives the girl the name "Ageha" (Butterfly). Ageha goes to work for a collection of oddballs who run a junkyard and salvage business.
