Movies like For Her Brother's Sake

Albert Black leaves his home town to accept a position in a bank in the city, becomes entangled in the allurements of the fast set and is detected embezzling from his concern. His father is notified of his dishonesty and refuses to assist him. The family has given the young man up as an exile or dead. Bessie is married to a physician, Dr. James Paton. One night while the doctor is away from home answering a call, Albert Black, now a dishonest fellow, breaks into his sister's home to rob it and unexpectedly to both, he and his sister meet face to face. She takes some money from her husband's desk, gives it to him and lovingly embraces him and kisses him good-bye. A busybody happens to see the shadow of the doctor's wife and her brother in loving embrace and tells the doctor when he reaches home. The doctor disbelieves his wife and, leaving her at once, goes to another city to establish a trade. The doctor, while ministering to the sick at one of the hospitals, is surprised to learn that one of his patients is his wife's brother. The sick man tells him everything, which causes him to pass into the realms of eternity. Doctor Paton returns to his wife, explains everything, and is made happy when his wife presents him with a baby boy, who was born during his absence.
