Turning Up the Heat

2002Diane Muldrow

2.8/5

I have already did a review of Dish series 1. Dish 2: Turning Up the Heat is the continued part of Dish 1: Stirring It Up. This book continuously talks about the bully Natasha and how Molly and Amanda becomes closer to her. I realized that you don't actually have to read the first edition: Stirring It Up. In the beginning, it introduces all the characters again, and what had happened in the first edition. That's why I was kind of annoyed, because the book treated me as a new reader, but I'm actually the "Fan" of this series. It had some stories like cooking for mom's birthday and other things, like it did on the first edition. This time, I want to talk about the second genre of this book, and which I forgot to mention carefully about it on the first edition. I would like to recommend this book to people who wants to cook, and interested in CHRIST LIKE ATTITUDES. When I was reading the beginning part of the novel, as I said author was introducing all the events from the first edition again. Then when it talked about how mom told Molly and Amanda to forgive what Natasha did for them, I suddenly pumped up. This is one of our christ-like-attitudes and what I studied about, FORGIVENESS!!! That time it make me realize why this is a christian novel. It's hard to actually see them in the story, but they are hidden really carefully. I think also the friendship is everywhere. Molly called Natasha to be friends with her, and twins never fought with their friends so far. I hope I'll find more in this edition
