Books like The Zion Covenant

History was never my thing in school and I wasn't sure what to expect from a series of historical fiction books about WWII, but I loved these books! I am almost finished with #6 now, and I can't wait to move on to the next one. It's rather sad to realize how little history I really learned in school, and I wish my teachers had used something like this instead of boring old textbooks to teach about WWII!The books follow a group of people in Austria, Czechoslovakia and Germany through the ordeals that lead up to WWII (in #6 the war is finally about to start). They seem to have little in common, but as the story progresses it turns out their lives are all intertwined in some way. The books are written with a very human outlook and the problems/questions the characters face are very real; I can almost feel myself sitting there, trying to figure it out along with them.I almost gave this series 5 stars (4.5 for sure), and would definately recommend it to others!
