Books like The Navel of the World

I knew that I would enjoy the humor in this book as soon as I started reading the dedication. How can you go wrong when a book is dedicated to the original cast of SNL, Mozart, and Laurel and Hardy, among others? After that great start, one of the characters talked about how much he hated LAX, a place I try to avoid, and then a dog started narrating the next chapter. Things just kept getting better. I loved the quirky humor and the story was compelling enough that I didn't want to put the book down. Try it, you will like it.
