Okay, let me start off by saying that this wasn't that bad of a book. It was fast-paced and easy to read. However, more often than not, I found myself become exceedingly frustrated with this work of fiction. It's a cheap spin on the Harry Potter series. Those who possess magical qualities recieve letters in the mail that say they've been accepted to special boarding type school. Except, the main character knows that she is special because she can see auras. She is really arrogant about the whole thing too. She's always saying stuff like, "I'm an amazing piano player, but I hate playing other people's music because it's boring. I know thay I'm extremely beautiful, and super smart, and way better than you, I just usually try to hide it." I really didn't like Juliet very much. If you couldn't tell.I also didn't like how it was written. Most teen books are simplistic and to the point, but I don't think I've read a book that is this blunt in how they explain characters/events/plot twists/love scenes/the climax. So annoying. I feel like it could have been expanded another 100+ pages by added details and explaining things better. Especially the end. The last 20 pages or so were reall dumb. It was like The deadline was in an hour and the author tied up loose ends without really stopping to see how it flowed with the storyline.Overall, I don't regret reading this book because it did have its moments when I laughed/smile/enjoyed myself. But I will probably never read it again.
