Devils' Line, Vol. 5
I enjoyed this one a lot more, maybe because it appealed to my interests and expectations more? Aha. Well, we got a long (and tantalizing!) romance scene with Tsukasa and Anzai that had me turned on along with probably nearly every other reader. (I NEED MORE, GODDAMNIT) Not only that, but some stuff brought back pleasant dusty memories from my last relationship. So many good memories to dwell on, honestly. Ooh, and Anzai's mother sees him, we get to see more about Anzai's dad too and how his mother is faring/coping with this whole scenario. Oh, and I've mentioned it before but this is still following the same formula, it just goes in different orders to switch it up I guess. BUT we got something extra this time. An extended flashback, into Sawazaki's past. I had really hoped his friend wouldn't meet the end that he did... It's so tragic, I liked him a lot, and I feel bad for all three involved. Also, seems Hans Lee was always meant to be one of the main three, eh? He doesn't seem to be going anywhere, and we keep learning more and more about him. I like him a lot, especially the more I understand him. He's honestly a little bit inspiring, even though he's starting from the ground up. Or perhaps that's what's so endearing about him in the first place. His friend is a cutie too. Oooh, and we got a new leader... He's definitely a bad guy. But why do they call him "Jason" as his codename? How strange, how odd. And he seems so trustworthy, so why... How is he "leading them down the path" that you'd think should throw them off? So far, he's been spot on. Huhm... Well, as per usual, I think my favorite part were the intense moments shared between our power couple. I'm glad Anzai's mother got to see them together and cheer them on. I think it gave her hope and happiness, but sadness that she couldn't hold him nor that her husband could be there... Oh... And I wonder... Is he just perpetually transformed, always? Or did we see him transformed because he wanted his hands on his wife SO badly? I want to believe that latter, so I will. I think they still have strong bonds and strong love, I bet she's even part of the reason he's locked up instead of dead, after murdering three people on a rampage. He said he wants to hold her and their son... I hope they can become a happy family someday. With Tsukasa too, and maybe a new little baby. Eventually, right? Here's to dreaming.P.S. Just please have sex already goddamnit and make sure to show it after blue balling us this much!!
