Anything but Khamosh: The Shatrughan Sinha Biography

3.7/5

I wouldn't classify this as a must read, but it's interesting to read as a Bollywood fan who grew up watching Shatrugan Sinha movies and hearing about his relationships and scandals. While the pages filled with politics were not interesting to me (which consisted of a good 30% of the book), the parts about his relationships with Reena Roy, Amitabh Bachchan, and Subhash Ghai were interesting ....if not disgustingly open and mildly rude). I'm not sure the book makes SS seem all that likable. Even reading his thoughts on his brothers makes the reader feel odd.....It was nice to read Amitabh's thoughts on SS after reading SS's thoughts on AB.....it did show who the more forgiving personality is. This book definitely presents SS as a bigger star than he actually was and you almost feel that those speaking about him must've been taken care of well by SS to tout him as big a star as Amitabh (definitely not). Nonetheless, it was interesting!
