Lincoln Michel has long been an important voice in the literary world as a writer for BOMB, Tin House, The Believer, and more, as well as Electric Literature's online editor, so it's exciting to finally have a collection of his work. These stories are dark and weird - which is right in my wheelhouse. Michel explores social impulses and the surprising behaviors of us "upright beasts" when normality is twisted or ripped from existence. A stellar debut.
