Books like The Shadow Man

Overwhelmingly Brilliant.This book was a mistake. In truth, my “to read” list contained this title. When returning home from the $1.00 a bag library book sale, I discover The Shadow Man on my list is authored by someone else. So ok, everything happens for a reason right?Turns out this is one of the most perfect books I have ever read. I have nothing but praise for the unique and original storyline. I developed a fondness for these remarkably crafted characters that took me to the sun filled beaches of Miami. There is a community of elderly Jewish Holocaust survivors that reside here. WWII is over 50 years now but something right here, right now has Sofie Millstein in a profound state of terror. Across the courtyard she goes seeking the help of retired detective Simon Winter. Unbeknown to Sofie, her knock interrupts Simon's suicide in progress. OK I know I've got your attention now. Each time I sat down to read this detective mystery thriller time seemed to slip by without my notice, I was so pulled in to the telling of this story. Historically I learned events of the time I did not know. This was truly an unexpected find that I highly recommend. The reason I picked this up by mistake? I got to read a really good book. There are no accidents.
