Books like The Magic School Bus Makes a Rainbow: A Book About Color

Such a cute series for children! We used this particular book in our rainbow/weather unit in our homeschooling. I read this with my (6 year old) daughter, who loved it! The pictures are busy and captured her attention. I read the text most the time without reading the word bubbles of the children. In this book Mrs. Frizzle takes the children on a "field trip" into a pinball machine. The goal of the children is to place each rainbow color in the correct slot or eye in this case. This book gave my daughter a great understanding a rainbows and light. I loved how she explored the pictures wanting to know what each thing was and even tracing the beams of colored light.We watched Magic School Bus DVD's after we read this book. Overall, a great additional to our homeschool learning.
