Books like The Last Wolf of Ireland

You would think that there is probably no wolf in Ireland now or ever,if you thought about that then your wrong.This book is about a boy that lives in a little town in Ireland,he got bully by another boy from the town.Now you can experience how this boy (Devin) raised the last wolf of Ireland.The genre of the book is historical fiction.This book is very happy,sad,angry, and scary all at the same time.This book brings lots of emotion to the reader that's what makes it great. The setting is in a town in Ireland named scotch town In Barnes's Gap in the past in the 17th centuries.The story stars when Devin was young he came around a mother wolf and three pups,they didn't do nothing to Devin,it was rare to see a wolf in Ireland because all of them where being killed.Devin wanted to tell his friend that he saw a wolf(his friend hang out with the bully)but the other kids didn't believe and he keep saying that he really saw that wolf so the bully punch Devin to the floor and then was about to kick him so a guy stepped up to save him,then the guy thought him how to self defend himself.One day Who came across the mother wolf again but this time the pups where not with her,then this haunter killed the mother wolf by shooting her.That same day he finds the hidden pups,he raised the three pups,and they found a hiding place for them and he brought them food.Another day when Devin was at church the bully told the hunter about the pups so the hunter could go kill them,when Devin went to the pups hiding place he found blood in the hiding place(there was 3 wolf pups by the way)But then he heard a sound it came from the bushes it was only one of the pups to manege to escape,so Devin raise the wolf he thought him how to hunt so he could survive by himself.One night Devin needed to let the wolf go.....3 years later Devin encounters the wolf again something happen to him....You must read the book to find out. The setting adds to the conflict because its telling a story where in Ireland they kill wolf and the wolf that Devin raise were killed.An example is when the mother of the wolf was looking for food she got killed by the hunter,and when two out f the three pups got killed by the hunter too.The setting adds to the conflict because it said That they where killing the wolf in IRELAND. I was angry about when they killed the wolf just for the money.They used the wolf fur to make clothes to sell.If I were the author I would have change the ending because it was to sad for me.After the ending they only left it there and wrote nothing more.I wish that the author would have added more to the ending than just that. I would give this book four stars because of I like the book a lot but not the ending.I would recommend this book to my Teacher Mr. Bruton my 7th grade ELA teacher to see how wonderful this book is.Now you probably change your mind about there no being wolf in Ireland.Anyone that is interested in Historical fiction then you should read this book.Thanks for your support and I hope you find this book interesting from what you read in my review.
