Books like Reading Octavia Butler: "Xenogenesis" / "Lilith's Brood"

It took me several tries over the years to read this book b/c it was so massive. I knew I'd love it once I started reading it. So I finally settled in one summer and read it bit by bit. It is a story of change and discovery. It spans lifetimes. If I say anymore it gives away the sheer beauty of discovering for yourself the magnitutude(sp?) with which Butler welds her writing skills. I can recalls scenes with such clarity (even all this time later). Her books remain with you. They deserve the praise they get and recommend to a friend so that she is passed on to another. I'd suggest buying more than one of her books, u'll want to read more.
