Books like Marley and Me

In this book at the beginning John talks about his childhood dog, Saint Shaun. He took him everywhere and loved him. When John grew up he married Jenny. One day for a present he got her a plant to take care of to see if they could take care of children. When Jenny killed it from feeding it too much she was very upset, because the thought she could never take care of a kid. Then John suggested that they get a dog and they loved the idea. They went to a farm and picked out a lab puppy, Marley. When they got home Marley was always crazy, never settled down, and didn’t listen. But as they had 3 kids and moved many places, they loved Marley and stayed best friends until the day he died. A cause that had lots of effects in the book is when John bought the plant for Jenny. One of the effects is that Jenny killed it from feeding it too much, because she wanted it to stay alive. Another effect from that cause is when Jenny thought if she couldn’t even take care of a plant then she could never take care of kids. The last effect is that they bought Marley because they loved dogs and wanted to take care of him. I loved everything in this book. One thing that I loved was that it was a dog story. And it is about how dogs will always be there for you. I think it was very fun to read. It wasn’t too long and was never boring to read. It had a great story in it. I loved everything about it.
