Books like Everything Sad Is Untrue

I sometimes listen to audiobooks when I am exercising or running . So if you recently saw me with my hands covering my face as I was working out, it wasn't to wipe the sweat from my eyes. It's because I was weeping while listening to this book and needed to get it together before going back to my run. This is the best book I've read in a long time. It may be because I have never read a book that so accurately described my own life. It may also be because Nayeri is a phenomenal writer or because there is so much raw emotion in this book. It's supposed. to be YA and that is a genre I generally avoid because I find it cheesy--this was the opposite. I don't usually cry while running.
