This is the first manga I have ever read! I'd always wanted to try to read manga, but I didn't know where to start. I mean, there's a lot out there. Then I discovered there's an entire genre of manga which is basically geared towards teenage girls. Now that sounded like something I'd be interested in. And I love vampires, so Bloody Kiss seemed intriguing to me.It's a short read, but a fun one nonetheless. The 192 pages include Bloody Kiss, as well as a short story manga called Angel Lovesong and a small sort of manga autobiography about the author. But the main story is about a girl named Kiyo Katsuragi, still in high school, who inherits her grandmother's house. When she moves in, she realizes she's not alone. There are two vampires living there as well! Kuroboshi and his servant Alshu are alright with Kiyo living there. But Kuroboshi wants to make Kiyo his bride, meaning that she will be the only human he sucks blood from. Only problem is, Kiyo gets really embarrassed when Kiroboshi sucks her blood.I really liked this manga. It was fun and easy to read. Kiyo is a smart and independent young woman, very goal-oriented. Kurobishi is sensitive and romantic...even if a little possessive. And Alshu is just hilarious. He makes the funniest, most sarcastic comments. The ending was beautiful. I can't wait for the next volume. And while it was a little confusing to try to read from right to left, I got used to it pretty quickly. This was a fun read!
