EntertainingThis is an entertaining story and I enjoyed reading it. There were a couple of times I chuckled out loud; so good job on the humor, author! This is definitely worth the purchase price.The only reason I deducted a star is I ran into one of my pet peeves within the first couple of paragraphs : the use of modern slang by a non-human in a different world. Some dragons are talking about another dragon and call him "whipped". If the author modified it to fit the setting, I would have been happier (e.g. "tail whipped"). There were a couple of other instances of something similar in the book but as I said, they're my personal pet peeves, so I think most people wouldn't care.

none">[  1) Vur going to the elves for training, he goes there spends about a couple of chapters with them and then runs away. The eleves weren't part of the story after that.  2) The demon lord and his relationship with Lyndis. What happened there? Was it real? What did she do to him. Then we find out later he is experimenting on his own demons and is a monster, then all of a sudden he is killed? No explanation of what he was doing or why, and his being killed was kind of just a random story point.  3) Toffel and her brothers. We find out later in the story that the eldest boy wanted to be the demon lord (Toffel is the current demon lord). He says he killed his other brother and made it look like she did it. Then nothing? Fluffykins takes a bite out of his leg and leaves with Toffel. That's the end of that story line?  4) The prince, the dragon and the Pope's daughter. What the hell was up there? The prince ended up being killed - with no actual fanfare. The stolen dragon died - which did have an impact on the overall story though only for a time. What the hell was up with the Pope's daughter? Did she have a thing for beasts or something? For women? Something was going on there but nothing was explained.  5) Lyndis and Stella? Why did she betray Stella? This seems like an important piece of information that was completely ignored. Lyndid just said she wasn't going to talk about it?  6) Snuffles. He was a big part of Vur's life when he was younger and then wasn't heard from again. Except for the fact that he had sex with a phoenix and had a Boar/phoenix hybrid child Fluffykins.  7) Why did Vur and Toffel want to be the kind and the demon lord. That happened kind of randomly.   There are so many more but those are the highlights.  (hide spoiler) ]
