Books like Richard Scarry's The Best Mistake Ever! and Other Stories

The book tells a tale about how mistakes can sometimes turn out to be good things. I loved all the illustrations in the book because they managed to complement the text. I also liked the illustrations because the colors helped the story pop. The colors were bright so they were a nice pop to the story. Each character in the illustrations were very expressive which I liked because it showed how each character was feeling without having to state it in the book. I liked that the stories were visibly separated so that it helped the reader understand that it wasn’t one big story and it didn’t create any confusion. The writing was well done because it wasn’t too simplistic in telling the stories and managed to say a lot without dumbing down the information to the reader. This book would be great to use in the classroom for students who are beginning to read.
