Phoenix, Vol. 5: Resurrection
Again, Osamu Tezuka delivers with another brilliant installment. Vol 4 was set in the past, this is set in the future, although not overly distant (seems like the 22nd century, perhaps?) and centers around a man who has been in a serious accident, and his recovery literally causes him to see the world a different way.His human relatives are greedy, while the robot he meets is a sweetheart. We also learn where the Robtas come from, and the ending is bittersweet. While the story seems self-contained, it is interconnected with the rest of the series.
