Books like Morris Has a Cold

Morris, a rather dim moose, has a cold. Boris the Bear tries to take care of him, but is highly frustrated by Morris' ignorance and Amelia Bedelia-esque habit of taking things literally. The pictures did an excellent job illustrating the action in a cinematic fashion. For example:[Picture of Boris handing Morris a cough drop.]Morris coughed again."Here," said Boris."I found a cough drop."Morris asked, "A cough what?"Boris said, "Drop."[Picture of Morris dropping cough drop.]Team read with DD#1 (age 6), who thought it was hilarious. So did DS#2 (age 3), and so did I - it really was funny.Acquired this at a big church yard sale, along with another of the many in the series, "Morris Goes to School". Morris was contemporary with my childhood. I'm sorry I missed him then, and am glad I've found him now. A search showed a bunch that somehow escaped being purged by my generally useless library system; they're going on the list pronto.
