Basic Complex Analysis

Seems like the ideal math book: instead of just proving the theorems, giving you a general method to approach certain problems (some books don't even do that), plus a few examples, this book will go over a basic example of one type of problem in rigorous detail before summarizing the method and often before proving general propositions that justify the method. This pedagogical strategy is exemplified in the chapter on residue calculus, for example. Many texts that explain the theory well skimp on examples in my opinion, and this text has very detailed, useful examples. It can be intimidating for a first-time student of the subject, but as an aid to a deep, rigorous understanding this is definitely one of the better math books I've encountered—if you put the work in.
