War And Peace, Vol. 3

2006Leo Tolstoy

4.8/5

Toltoï describes the psychosis that seizes Moscow at the announcement of the coming of Napoleon. It is the great companion of Russia, who will at the same time decide, later on, the future of Europe whose stability is threatened by the descent of the beast, Tolstoy's allusion to the letters of the Napoleon's name, which correspond, he asserts, to the figures of the beast, the 666 of the apocalypse. It also reminds us of Bulgakov in The Master and Margarita who speaks of the arrival of the Devil, who is none other than Stalin, and some would say that these figures correspond better to Hitler.
