4.8/5

Actual rating is 3.5 stars. This is part of the young readers series that takes place in the Dragonlance realm. The others must be read before this one. In this one, our group of young companions are still searching for a way to recover Nearra's memories. To throw off Maddoc, they enter the mountains but are soon in trouble as they are not prepared for this adventure.I am enjoying this series but one can tell it is meant for younger readers. The strength of this series is the characters. This holds true for this book also. There is some excellent character growth for our characters and it shows our young characters maturing as they continue on their adventure. There were several moments that I thoroughly enjoyed. Conversely, there are a couple of groan worthy moments too. The biggest flaw was the introduction of an aspect of a character's father that was never introduced before. If there was some foreshadowing in the previous books, I would have loved this aspect and this book would have received a higher rating. The books in this series are a quick, nice read. They are to be enjoyed by readers of all ages. They are not perfect but the good definitely out weigh the bad.
