Reinforcement arrives!!! The battles shown were absolutely amazing throughout this mission. The last one between Gaara and Kimimaro was chilling encounter. I absolutely loved that battle however, I wonder how can Rock Lee and sand Allies reach fast to the battle scene at the exact same time. But, oh well logic can not work everytime. Still, if we ignore that simple fact, the battle makes up for it. Kimimaro's devotion towards Orochimaru seems clear and his terrifying ability pushed Gaara back.What comes in next volume is an absolute thrilling encounter between Naruto and Sasuke. The ending of this volume sets the stage. The Final Valley. What will happen?

5/10 stars   Okay, okay, we're progressing slowly toward something more interesting. Gaara is always an intriguing character, and while the other Sand ninjas serve as a background for him, Kishimoto dedicates a lot of pages and a lot of effort to establish them as individuals. Not bad, though the enthusiasm for power levels and weird jutsus never seems to go away. Orochimaru... I can't make my mind about him. Too on the nose for a serious villain, and his powers are certainly "over 9000!!!" which doesn't make for a good story. We'll see, though. Maybe still something decent can be cooked from that snake.
