Books like Men I'm Not Married To

A strange, virtually unknown short novel. Basically this is like a ladies little black book – a chronicle, almost diary style diatribe of all the men that have come and gone in the protagonist’s life. It is very modern prose, witty but unfortunately lacks the sharpness or spunk of similar style writers, such as Muriel Spark, Stella Gibbons, Barbara Pym or Eelizabeth Thurkell. Clearly ahead of it’s time though! From the little I know of Parker, she was a bit of a trail blazer (and ball buster?) it seems! I assume some of her chunkier novels are, while similar in style, more in depth and would be worth reading.
