Legend of Sleepy Hollow and Rip Van Winkle

I listened to this driving home from NJ last night, though I just got around to reviewing it today. If this can be called a review, that is. I don't really have much to say about these two stories, honestly. Sleepy Hollow is actually a bit creepy at times on audio, especially since the ending is left unresolved, but honestly, I think it's pretty obvious what the situation was. He had an overactive imagination and someone took advantage of that knowledge to their own benefit. A cautionary tale, perhaps, to be a little less inclined to see a ghost in every shadow, and think a little more reasonably and logically? Rip Van Winkle was just.. not really impressive. I didn't like Rip, and I think that he was a terrible protagonist because he shirked every job that needed doing and left everyone to do all the heavy lifting... and then got drunk and passed out for 20 years, only to return and take up his old couch groove again. At least Homer is endearing about it.
