Books like Invincible: Ultimate Collection, Vol. 11

Two major things happen in this volume: The first, I'm not sure how I feel about it. It comes out of nowhere, but it serves a story purpose for the second item. I'm not sure if it exactly fits deus ex machina territory, but there was little explanation and because we are at the end of the series, I'd be surprised if it is revisited. It results in a very well done emotional moment though.(view spoiler)[I'm talking about Mark getting sent back to relive past events, and when he comes back his daughter is now older and having missed on being part of those formative years.
