Books like Strange Angels Novel Collection: Strange Angels, Jealousy, Betrayals, Defiance

This series was an easy read. I read all five books in 7 days. St. Crow has a real gift for imagery (in my opinion) and I thoroughly enjoyed some of her descriptions. Reminds me of a mixture of Buffy, Twilight, and The Mortal Instruments.It's written in first person from the point of view of the heroine. She is stronger than she realizes but has no self confidence. She has to grow up fast when she loses her only living relative, but she finds a true friend in her "Goth Boy." Together they survive one attempt on her life after another [as she learns the truth about her own identity and who she can and cannot trust.] Lots of action and a good grasp on teens and their fickle feelings. The fifth book, in my opinion, left some issues unresolved. But I didn't think it was a total disappointment. If you like paranormal YA- you will like this series.
