Books like Arthur's New Puppy

I enjoyed this book because it shows that kids are capable of showing responsibility even at a young age. Additionally, Arthur is a familiar face and one of my favorite books to read as a kid. The illustrations are very detailed and colorful! The story line is colorful as well. Most kids want a pet, but do not understand that having a pet is a huge responsibility. This book displays a positive way to develop responsibility in a silly manner thanks to D.W's jokes.I think kids will enjoy this book as much as I did. Although the theme is responsibility, a boring topic for kids, it sends the message in a funny, cute way. Also, the story is simple to understand.
