Books like Armance

I enjoyed the book, even with all the tormented happenings between the two lovers. I even grew very much fond of them. In the seccond half of the book, I became almost obsessed with their love story as well as upset with the almost persistent love bad-luck and often misunderstandings appreciating in the same time that bad-luck in the XIX th century was more romantic than fulfilled passionate love stories. All in all, I hated the ending. He should have not killed Octave. I am not even accepting his death coming from a great nouvellist as Stendhal.
